I don't think All librals agree with living off Government assistance. system!! Just people who think. People with more money than them, owe them some of there's. So they lazy around and have a family and draw a check from hardworking individuals, who pay high taxes!

I wasn't being sarcastic. My question was clear. Do you think unmarried moms should be allowed to be stay at home mom's on tax payer dollars?

yes, I believe kids deserve to be taken care of (the physical stuff) AND provided for (the financial stuff). In lieu of the two parents designed to fill both roles, I think they should have support systems in place to help them do both, even if it is 'taxpayer'money until there is another way.

So two people decide to have a kid and you expect the government to pay the cost until the kid is in grade school.. about 5 years, while Mom stays home and " baby Daddy" is nowhere to be found. You want the taxpayers to pick up this cost?

Is that it?

Who thinks like that!!! Maybe that's why people Live on the system.

I EXPECT people to give a damn about kids,, its that simple. I EXPECT of all the things precious 'taxes' go towards, that making sure our needy kids are in safe sheter with food would be the one we could be the most IN AGREEMENT about.

I would expect people to understand that CRAP HAPPENS in life that knocks people down sometimes, and cause them to need help.

Students are given funding to help them study .. then when they are working they pay it back .. perhaps the government can introduce a similar scheme . Once the children are schoolage.. the parent works and starts paying back the government assistance . It is far too easy to have children and get a benefit .. that needs to change . If there was no government assistance what would they do ?? Rely on family or friends for support ??? Use contraception ?? I don't know .. but would be interesting to see pitchfork

So you are saying the responsibility of kids should be forced on people who don't want them. Even though the kids own parents aren't taking responsibility.

what if EVERYBODY worked around the clock and let someone else supervise and raise their kids their whole life?

the list of what ifs can go both ways.

but its not likely many would decide to 'sit home and wait on a check' that affords them a whopping buck fifty per meal and buck fifty for everything else they may need outside of a meal, live in crime infested neighborhoods with their kids, and have people constantly making assumptions about their character and looking down on them for their need.

its not living a life of riley, regardless of how many who have NEVER used or needed it may say so.

who works around the clock except for fireman/women and they do shift work .

Your excuses and spin are just that, and this crap about not everyone lives the life of Riley? you think?

Let me guess you dont think its fair that athletes make the money they make, or musicians and recording artists like lady gaga make the kind of money they do or Hollywood A listers?

Guess what?

Life isn't fair, while we may never be paid millions and millions of dollars for acting , singing, dancing, being a all star professional athlete we can with the proper training, skill, dedication make a pretty damn good living.

If those that chose to have kids out of wedlock, with no skills , lack of formal education and no prospects and expects the state to take care of them is not only wrong but B.S.

Making excuses for these losers only proves that the left has ruined your country and my country

I think this is a good idea and would be a step in the right direction of welfare reform.

die gracefully, or do what was necessary to feed their kids ... rob, steal, cheat .... jobs take a while to ascertain in highly competitive times, each day passing to wait on a response is a day kids STILL would need food, each day waiting for that first check, kids would STILL need shelter. Not everyone has the privilege of family in a position to help with these things ...

Id love to see WAGES meet the local costs of living. Id love to see affordable childcare for those raising kids ALONE. Id love to see incentives to renters for reduced costs based in income available. I believe ALL these things would tackle some of the big concerns many struggling single parents have.

YEP, thats how a civilized society works. the Citizens are FORCED to take responsibility for things they will never ALL want, whether its highways and roads, or FEEDING the NATIONS CHILDREN.

melodramatic !!! I do not believe they would die .. why should a family say no to supporting heir own blood but the government has to say yes . It would certainly be a great form of contraception .. relying on family laugh laugh laugh

Maybe it's time we have a civilized society that forces the parents to support their children.

Beans and rice instead of a card. Medical requires a copay. No more sect 8 or Eic.

not everybody has family that can support them, thats something people take for granted EVERYONE has.. thats my point

those who are alone and struggling without another support system being cut off would find other ways to provide their family's needs ...

what has the family unit become ?? Families should not feel forced .. it is their own blood .

other changes are coming .. the father will need to be identified when claiming any benefit assistance ., there will be exceptions but for most it will no longer be acceptable to remain anonymous .

That's true family or friends don't always have funds to support other family members.

So the one needing help should get work unless they are physically or mentally disabled.

That's where mom stops spreading her legs. 2 babies born on welfare should be the limit. If she want medical care, she agrees to get her tubes tied.
