Middle class people have to pay rent or a mortgage. $75 A week × how many people?
My ex had a gf with 4 kids. She was feeding him everyday with her foodstamps and buying him gifts. He said if he had held on a little longer he would have gotten one of those expensive coolers. Her two oldest kids became of age and section 8 cut benefits and she had to move out of her gated community lol. She drove a school bus for special needs kids. It was a few hours a day. Her main source of income was welfare and child support. She pretended to be pregnant trying to move in with him. When that didn't work she claimed she was going to have to work two jobs and wouldn't be able to see him. He dumped her.

exactly, of course you cant pay rent on 75 a week.

foodstamps cannot buy 'gifts' only food

if a man helped her make the child, she SHOULD Have received support from him and if that didnt cover enough to meet the poverty line, she SHOULD have been able to have means tested (that means that the amount is rated based upon how much on is making) assistance for her kids.

She was feeding him with the foodstamps. The gifts were probably coming from her child support. I agree the father should help support the kids. I'm a single mom and don't get assistance because of assets. I told the guy I was seeing that I didn't want to exchange gifts because I have 3 kids and two grandkids to buy for. He agreed because he has 1 kid 2 grandkids. The welfare mom bought for my ex and lots of gifts for my daughter too. She was living well till those kids started Turning 18. She wasn't using the help to better herself. She was using the money trying to snag a man to support her when they turned 18.

oh well. what they get is still ALL they get. Im not for taxpayers or anyone else being in the back pockets of people telling them what they can or cant use their budget on.

like I said, the programs dont 'better' anyone, they help get them through tough times for a maximum five years per lifetime if they are cash benefits.

food benefits dont 'better' anyone, except by allowing them something for their kids to eat with ... and that should be important

Tax payers are in their back pockets because it's the tax payers working to make the money to support them. Of course someone living well off welfare doesn't want the tax payers to get involved and say "Hey, they are living better than I am off my money". Eic is cash and it's not limited to 5 years. But from what I've heard the new tax code limits it. I think after 2 kids you don't get anymore.

Food stamps could have bettered this woman. It fed her and her kids and she could have been saving her child support to better her children...

It was used to be a dating tool for her. This is the norm for a lot of these mom's on govt assistants. The men pile in and live in the sec 8 housung, eat up the food, use the woman's car, gas money etc, all off the backs of the tax payers.

really, so should 'taxpayers' also dictate to politicians, government workers and military how to spend their income, since 'taxpayers' also support them? Weak reasoning, bordering closely to the lines of slave ownership,,, because it promotes the idea that who ever has the money (the tax system is set up for those WITH money to give back money) should OWN the freedoms of those that dont....

my advice is stop being in other peoples business or assuming you know all the details of their situation ... there are frauds in this world. if you happen to know any, REPORT THEM.

but I ask people to please stop with the highly prejudicial classist bigoted negative stereotypes that lumps poor people in need together as fraudulent or as living somehow better than others in general. I have been there. WE DEFINITELY DO NOT.

These are employees you are refusing to. Not handouts. Comparing welfare to a soldier is crazy. It's this way of thinking that has your people messes up. Saying that a job only benefits the employer is crazy. These thoughts are keeping your people in poverty.

so what? The argument is merely that the source of the money should have power to dictate where the money is spent. which is kind of ownership of people by way of classism.

what is keeping people in poverty(for the most part) are not 'thoughts' but opportunities, wages, and greed.

let me use an analogy, everyone who works for a paycheck earns money.

to say that I know people who work at McDonalds earn more money than others, because I can prove McDonalds workers make SOME money, is illogical without FACTS to back it up, like actual wages.

likewise, taking two groups who have kids (families on section eight and families not) and claiming that those on section eight have MORE KIDS, is not proven just by repeating they ALSO have ANY kids. Proof is information about how many both groups have on average, where it is clear one number is LARGER than the other.

no, that is a silly analogy, because people working for paycheques has nothing to do with my argument.

My original argument was there is a high number of females in the african American community that has kids out of wedlock.

2) many of them live in Public housing and section 8 housing

that is it

How many kids they have is irrelevant.

Why you keep mentioning about more kids or if I said Section 8 has more kids is irrelevant because I really dont know nor do I care.

I go by fact, 70% of females in the african American community has kids out of wedlock, whether you agree or disagree is irrelevant because Ive posted facts to back it up.

Once again how many kids they have is irrelevant
my point was the high number of unwed mom with kids

is that clearer now?

very clear in just one sentence.

If I said Section 8 has more kids is irrelevant because I really dont know nor do I care

Because I dont know the exact number? good Lord.

Im guessing all the stats mean squat to you?

no. what meant something was a statement that section 8 people are having more kids out of wedlock than anyone else,

but the purpose and validity of that statement is clear now ...

Wed 06/13/18 11:46 AM
because a high number of people living in section 8 housing has kids

what other conclusion can be reached?

70% of females in the African American community have kids out of wedlock

according to the stats, 41% of people living in section 8 are african American

and something like 70ish % are female

tell me what conclusion should I deduce from those stats?

help me out here,I know I live in the country of Ice and snow, Tim Horton's , Maple syrup and hockey so enlighten us up here.

No, it's the person's own personal choices. I worked my *** off as a single mom. I worked a lot of overtime in manufacturing. I also bought rental property to get ahead in life. I had cooking cleaning laundry, cub scout, dance classes, help with homework. But the person who put me in that situation was myself. I wasn't raised believing that the world owes me a living. I provided for my family.

It's strange for me to hear these young black women complain about what the govt doesn't do for them. You can listen to them and know they will never improve their situation.

and how did you get to all these places(cub scout, dancing class), and how did you afford to buy rental property, did anyone assist you with that? could it be some support system around you that ASSISTED you somehow and some way? where were your kids, who were they with when you were working all this overtime at manufacturing? Who got them to or from school, made sure they had breakfast, lunch or dinner? was there possibly a SUPPORT system(of people) who also helped you with that?

probably not, it was just that you didnt believe anyone 'owed' you anything like those young black women who are complaining ... right?

I don't understand why these women who don't want the responsibility of the kids continue to have them. Those young girl were having sex with multiple men, some just out of prison, some selling drugs, without any birth control. The kids they already had were dumped on family members while the went clubbing and then to a hotel to make more. They didn't think about conception anymore than a stay animal. They aren't capable of making wise decision. Nature has a way of weeding out the weak. These babies wouldn't survive without welfare. They are breeding at an alarming rate. I watched a show about a month ago. The woman had 6 kids by the end of the show. She was having sex with any man without birth control.

I guess Im just fortunate to not personally have known even ONE That fits that description in nearly 50 years of living. I hope the ones that do fit it just get left to starve with the kids though, its really all they deserve since they dont work hard like everyone else...

It's called a loan. My 1st home had a small home in the back. Then I continued to buy more. They have $0 down programs. My ex bought no money down since the housing crash. His mortgage is a little over $400 A month. These loans are there for everyone. They were designed to get the poor into home ownership. But you have to have a job to qualify. Sect 8 will not pay a mortgage. But eic could easily pay the mortgage for the year. But a person would have to have enough ambition to buy one. They won't give you one at the club. You have to work and apply.

All our govt would have to do is offer these women some money to consent to have their tubes tied. They don't care about the kids and it's only for a check anyway.

What about the " Baby Daddies" don't they contribute to their own kids.. the ones they help bring to life.

No?........ why not?

Baby Daddies.. Lol its such a problem that they had to coin a word that sounds o.k. for the sperm donors.

3 out of 4 ( 74%) of African American children are born out of wedlock... Baby Daddy nowhere in the picture. Actually Uncle Sam now has to take on the financial responsibility of " Baby Daddy".. how about a new catch word for that.. "Daddy Sam" or "Uncle Buck"? to go with "Baby Daddy" and "brother by another mother"... give us a break.. heh

Welfare and section 8, food stamps and free heath care. Who gets hurt?.. who suffers?.. the kids.. that's who.

74%.... shameful
