I think when a woman goes in to have her second baby on welfare, she should be required to get her tubes tied. It's clear by then that she isn't responsible enough to make her own decisions and it isn't fair to tax payers.

people kill me, it doesnt make anything 'clear'. How do you know each woman's situation? How do you know that the father didnt leave after the pregnancy? How do you know they didnt JUST lose a job?

its not 'fair' to taxpayers who are against war to pay for the military, its not 'fair' to taxpayers who have no health issues to pay for medicare and medicaid, its not 'fair' for taxpayers opposed to any number of things, to still have to pay for the grants and moneys that get invested into them. But since they cant take personal polls and seperate everyone's individual taxes for their preferred causes, they set up these funds for things that will be in the general welfare of the country.

Baby #1 born on welfare was enough for mom to realize she isn't in a situation to raise kids. So if she gets pregnant and ask for help again, she isn't making good choices.

Tax payers are being protected by our military whether they agree with it or not. Medicare is for the elderly who have paid taxes. Medicaid is something the govt is trying to cut. Two kids on the welfare system is very expensive for tax payers. It's time to put an end to baby #3 #4 #5 #6......

so we should start insisting women only have kids that they KNOW they will have finances to take care of ALONE the rest of their lives? are you for real?

and welfare is feeding the people who will become our military and our elderly some day, whether we like it or not.

Having kids you are supporting and then something happens is different. The tax payers weren't on the hook for the expensive medical bills for their births, plus all the other welfare. People who pay for the births, tend to have less kids. They usually have insurance through their employer and have 401k accounts and unemployment if they lose their job. They are more likely to go back to work shortly after losing a job. That's different than having kids one after another on the welfare system.

no, Intelligent women already knows this and does this, uneducated , unintelligent women dont know this and has babies like its going out of style.

talking about outliers, yeah and you have the stats to back this up?
elderly people yes if they never worked and was welfare all their lives they are sponging off the system , yeah that bodes well for society.

you know its funny thing, Black people that come from the west indies that emigrate legally to America, most of them find jobs, some will work 3 jobs if necessary and many of them within a decade of arrival owns a house, but the ones in the ghettos in inner cities dont want to work, and believes America owes them because of slavery.

the believe its better to collect welfare and sit home, tell me how that is productive?

well, unless 'taxpayers' want to pay the bill to research EACH recipient to find out their SPECIFIC situation is, its the best we got.

When I became a married "single mom", I was the one who had insurance on my kids at work already. Him being gone really didn't effect our finances that much. Even if a couple divorces, dad is still on the hook for helping support his kids. Standard divorces require the non custodial parent to provide insurance on the kids.

When a welfare mom goes to work, she loses about 70% of her benefits. People who are trying to support their kids aren't the drain on the system.

I dont need research to understand that having kids out of wedlock isn't good for the kid.

Welfare programs are a joke.

Parents cant discipline their kids like in the old days where the majority of them would never tell a cop to f uck themselves, let alone their parents and teachers.

I remember when I was young and even though Im in Canada, if we lipped off to a teacher, depending on the teacher it was either a good tongue lashing or a smack, then we were sent to the principals office, and then the phone call home and mom on the other end saying wait until your father gets home

That was enough to put the fear of God in me.

And when my father got home yeah I knew I was in trouble and believe me lesson learned, no lipping off to the teacher.

Today kids are telling their parents to go f uck themselves.

I couldn't imagine what would happen if I told my parents to go f uck themselves and If I threatened them with children aid , my father would have tanned my azz even more and said tell them how I tanned your azz and the reason.

Kids today have no respect for authority and most have no work ethic, find me a kid that gets out of bed before noon on the weekend and I will show you tomorrow millionaires

No research needed. It's on the forms she fills out for assistance. She gives her income and husband's income. She has to report married or single. Info about the absent parent also. If she is having multiple kids out of wedlock, it's pretty clear she is a welfare queen.

unbelievable ...okay.

I mean there is the reality that being a PARENT does not require being a SPOUSE, and plenty of people intend committed relationships and families that dont want to get married ,,,

but you know, unless they are willing to tie the knot with each other, they probably should be limited to the amount of times they get help or the number of kids they can have ....

Those young women at Honda were having kids and already on welfare. One had a man get out of prison. She was on medicaid, section 8 housing, foodstsmps. Her dad told her not to get pregnant again with a broke loser. She got pregnant with baby #3 and quit her job. Another young woman was getting Medicaid and foodstamps while living with her grandmother. Her grandmother told her she needed to be looking for a place to live. She got pregnant with baby #2 and couldn't possibly have known who the dad was. She quit also. One young woman was working overtime and saving for a house and wasn't interested in dating. She was too busy making a better life for her and her baby. So I can understand a mistake.

I dont presume to know anyone else's personal financial situation or circumstances. Im glad that we are a nation that still has enough humanity to provide a safety net for families hitting hard times and struggling to give the children food and shelter.

you don't seem to see the difference between providing it and taking advantage of it...or you just don't care...

But you know that a family hitting hard times isn't the same as having a family while living on the tax payers dine. People shouldn't live in constant struggle where they need help. They should spend time paying into the system also. With the young mother trying to better herself, she eventually got hired on and got benefits for her and her baby. She isn't paying in as many taxes as a single person but will eventually pay back what she received in taxes. I don't believe those others will ever be productive members of society. It's time tax payers have some say in where their money is going. I know benefits are scheduled to faze out over the next few years. I don't know to what extent.

I know there is a difference, I don't ASSUME to know which is happening with any one individual family's situation though

trump has already cut food stamps, not sure on what or why, but I've seen a few videos where people were reciving food packages instead of a card...government cheese, I guess...

I know that the programs dont allow much room for any one to 'live on' taxpayers dime unless they are being fraudulent.

people dont live in struggle because they want to or because they are any less deserving or virtuous than those who dont find themselves struggling so much or so often.

I dont believe 'taxpaying' status should be the measure used to value a citizens life, or their kids lives.

I don't understand why you feel you need to know...if they are on welfare and buying expensive things, its wrong, regardless of anyone's situation

if you dont know the individual circumstance why are you quick to make the claim that "thank God there are safety nets"

Look , do you acknowledge that fraud goes on in the welfare program?
