12.7 degrees Celsius/55 Fahrenheit clear skies and damp Thank you, that helps a lot! And that's really cold for this time a year? You're welcome, I have trouble with celsius, if you don't use it daily, it's tough to remember the conversion. Not so much for Northern Michigan, though the locals say it's cooler than normal. I lived in Northern Michigan for 23 years of my adult life... seems typical to me. Next time my boys can travel to me, lol. They live in Michigan which is one reason I took this job. Oh right, close to the great lakes and really high up, logical temps would be lower there. I have the same problem with F, hihi. And I'm not good with math either I've learnt to convert feet, inches, Oz & pounds, miles sort of (I tend to mix up numbers for nautical and normal mile). The ounces I had to learn when I had an American wholesaler for my website to calculate whether I was ordering a pinch or a barrel, haha. Guess what a surprise that would've been, in either case! Also, we too have an ounce in Dutch (called "ons", very similar, ounce also translates into 'ons'). THing is, ours is 100 grams, your ounce is just short of 30 grams. So our 'ounce' is 3x more. So if Dutch ppl were to order an ounce of cheese abroad they'd expect 100 grams, yet in the USA would only get 30, haha. Could lead to some PO customers I also use PM and AM on M2 (we have 24 hr time notation). I'm kind of used to it, but I still have to think what PM and AM is, even after 25 yrs of using English. I first came across it when I was in Australia, but when conversing with the rangers -I worked in a shop in the ranger station- I could use 'normal' time as the rangers knew it too as military time. When it comes to fluid ounces, gallons, I'm lost. There's a limit, lol. Maybe one day we'll all use the same system. I just Googled it, apparently USA, Myanmar and Liberia are the only countries still using Imperial. In the UK it prolly is messy as many still use the foot / inch stuff for height even though metric is official since 1965. I guess the somewhat older people? Anywho... as for weather we had nice and sunny today but not nearly as hot. A T-shirt indoors was okay, but when going outdoors a thin jacket was needed. I don't mind. After 2-3 months of stinking hot and dry weather this was a welcome change! |
