Its true that there are numerous things that dont appeal to everyone. That said, we are all ppl and if we look at ourselves and think that we are fine, then how can we look at someone else (who smokes, drinks, is a little heavy, etc.) and say that there are not up to our standards.

For those that think they are the next best thing next to God, well there is more than likely more flaws then will ever be admitted, or fixed for that matter

Awesome lol. But plastic surgery is probably easier than dieting.

But to the question at hand. Nothing wrong with people having preferences. A lot of girls like tall guys with chiseled jaws and blonde hair blue eyes...don't hear me crying about it. Some people like smart mates, and some people are just plain dumb and their's no diet or surgery for that.

There are so many different people in the world with different preferences, just gotta find one who likes what you got and you like what they have. Intimate relationships aren't just about being nice to one another, there's also an element of physical attraction and chemistry. Of course a great personality means you might not have to be a model and a horrible personality might get you kicked to the curb no matter how good you look.

If someone doesn't want to be fat they should stop complaining about everyone else and get some more exercise. If you're okay with the way you are, then fine, feel good about yourself and QwitcherBytchin and stop blaming other people for having preferences.

I think its because many women have a complex, especially here in the USA because how our media (tv, billboards, etc) glamorize certain things..so the "physical look" plays a factor.

But to the ladies, NOT EVERYONE judges a person by thier LOOKS. So to post such a thread is just asking to "egg on" the issue. Kinda like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpten yelling "RACIST!"

I'm shallow about weight---the men I am sexually attracted to are almost universally thin. That said, I myself am not a shoestring. I am not "naturally" thin but I work my behind off (literally) to try to maintain a certain level of thinness. The way I figure, I'm not asking a man to be anything more than what I ask of myself.

why does the weight play a factor in being accepted or not? I really have never understood that, but I will say this much I am a healthy fat person, I went to the doctor and I have a good heart,lungs,NO diabetes, Low cholesterol and I am fine with that I love eating but that doesnt make me a bad person, people of society assume things too much, which in my opinion is wrong because once you assume then you turn out to be wrong I learned that from experience. Every skinny person I have ever had an interview from told other co workers that they wouldn't hire me becasue I am fat, and that fat people are too slow, I run, work out and I can move freezers with little or no help at all so I mean people need to be more open minded to everything and it is 2007 and I mean people are still as ignorant as they were in 1968 which is sad, IF YOU ASK ME!

i agree much with the person before me, Ladies make it out to be much more than it really is. When i look for qualitites in woman it starts with honesty, because if they can not be honest with themselves how do i expect them to be honest with me. Secondly i look for a personality match, to see if i can get along with them, to see how well i can communicate with them. and the VERY last thing is am i physically, sexually, and emotionally attracted to this person. Now before you blather and say something about "sex" i mean sexually, like am i attracted enough to this person, so one day i will want to when we are ready to. before you judge it, realize of the two individuals ive been with one was overweight, the other wasnt. in all honesty it didnt matter how big they where, or ugly, or beautiful, it mattered because i was with them and loved them. I think this topic should be more based on how well an individual cares for someone enough to be attracted to them, NOT based on weight or mass. Regardless i am an individual who doesnt judge on looks or weight i judge on personality, honesty, communication and lasty physicality.

Out of curiousity, why is it that those of us who are over weight can make jokes about ourselves, but when someone else does it, we get upset? Hell, let it go. I'm fat. Ok. I find marky84 not particularly attractive. Ok. That doesn't mean that there's something wrong wiht either one of us or that I can't be friends with him. He can laugh at the size of my ass and I'll laugh at his face. It works out. Relax. Let people be people.
