Topic: can you describe God without sounding delusional | |
---|---|
Even Einstein himself, before his death said he believed there was an "ultimate creator". Not naming "God" specifically, however knowing for FACT all these thing, not even in our own world, but everything outside we have never even discovered yet, had a "master designer". people always like to quote that Einstein believed in a God..and this belief in a God probably limited his thinking when it came to Light Speed ..and that is what he tried to do with Light Speed make it into a God that nothing can travel faster than it ..but light is just a phenomenon and created and controlled by the laws of physics |

This post is asking the wrong question. You are asking people to describe something that is largely conceptual. believers don't regard God as a concept but as an entity ..that is the reason why I ask this certain question |

Like I said, there is no describing God. He is and that is the truth of it. And no description will be acceptable to you, because you already have your mind made up that any description of God is delusional. So There is no reason to continue to try to convince a heart or mind that wont be convinced. people are giving concepts of God ..I was asking for a description of God .. in other words how would you know it was God or would you follow the first entity that claimed to be God Describe what's in your heart. cholesterol |

The secret place is the sanctity of one's soul. The sanctity of God respects that sanctity. The entity that seeks a reaction does not respect the sanctity of any. Establishing trust of sanctity requires secrecy. Reverence of secrecy establishes mutual beneficence. Seeing is not knowing. Likewise hearing. likewise believing. Understanding knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom will lead to equity. Equity is covetable and theft of equity is tempting to all but truth. Truth is inncorruptible. |

My opinion: It is difficult for adults to believe in, and base their lives on, fairy tales without coming across as delusional. It is difficult for a supposedly-otherwise rational human being to live his/her life in such a manner so as to please a fictional character without seeming delusional. the more religous one are the more delusional one will seem |

you can not convince a hardened heart or a closed mind. Matthew 13:13 thru 15 say it best.
13. "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do nt hear, nor do they understand. 14. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says; "Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; 15. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed. lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn. So the I should heal them. |

Einstein just had enough sense to see how so many things "cycle" themselves in life, from a birth to a death, but then recreation again. Einstein NEVER stated he believe in "God", he never used that term. So once again, get your FACTS straight. When you look at a molecular structure, how cells, atoms, electrons, nuerons, etc all interact. And those are just things we have found out in the last 200 years of mankind! Do you even have a clue of science? The more you dig, the more it is evident there is a "master creator" (in my case God). To even believe all of this, not talking one or two things, but umteen TRILLIONS and beyond all working in sync. And this just happened by luck??? Get a clue. |

Ethereal is not a description of God but descibes that he isn't from Earth..also North and South America was discovered long before columbus and noone is disputing that the planets or the solar system exist Ethereal is a wonderful description of God. Spiritual, not having material substance? Hmm... I think I didn't make myself clear though. N. and S. America and the solar system and all of those other examples didn't exist until they were discovered or more was known. I'm just simply saying the idea of believing in God is similar, i.e. does not make you sound delusional to believe that God exists and what that idea is to you within your description. Time will pass, and we will learn more. but North and South America and the planets are just made up of dirt among other chemicals which exist everywhere and their existence is not being disputed ..but to claim God as spiritual and not having material substance sounds more like non-existence so therefore in this form how could someone claim his existence |

LOL..oh got to LOVE this post! I happen to believe there is a "God", not not just from a "faith" perspective. But more of a "factual" one. well if you only "believe" there is a God means you have "doubts" of that existence ..to claim the existence as more of a factual one still carries the ring of doubt Truly the oppsite. There is no doubt for me, just means I not only believe in God, but all the factual evidence around gives physical proof He is there. there is doubt because you say you "believe" in God and "to believe" automatically entail doubt or you would have claim it as fact which of course you would have had the sufficent proof to prove it ...you next question will be what is sufficent proof ...and I will tell you to describe God without sounding delusional |

God is the guy that humans invented
they made him so perfect, he’s never contented you can worship and pray till your lungs have been vented but your sin is inherent and can’t be repented it’s a mythical scam that religion’s presented to try to prevent men from being demented unlike a fine wine that unites grapes fermented religion yields cultures that become quite segmented |

well, science is pretty reserved to the fact that the universe is infinite. when you throw an infinite variable into the mix, it pretty much guarantees that we can never know EVERYTHING. also, too look at it scientifically, name one period of time when we felt we had complete understanding over something and were right. :P don't you have a complete understanding of your existence to yourself ..also infinity stops once you reach the end |

Ok, let me put it this way:
In my heart I know him to be true. And I need not prove it because it's between him and me. It's nobody else's business. period |

How about "I know that God exists". That better for you?? Can you understand that now? Oh and 2+2=4. Got that too? OK next question. You ask for someone to describe something that no one fully understands, nor has the capability to comprehend. That would be like me asking you to descibe how fast a nano-second is and how does that relate in a transistors performance base on a network. I don't expect a real good description, simply because I know that you have no comprehension or understanding of what that is. So probably best if you don't ask questions that even when given a viable answer, you still would have no clue. |

How does the consciousness of a liver cell within you ... explain the consciousness of a brain cell within you ...
That liver cell lives among other liver cells ... they like to keep to their own kind ... it is what it knows ... How then does the liver cell make sense of a world outside the liver? Or even contemplate that there is a bigger purpose for it? And does it really matter? |

The entity that communicates in secret places can be trusted. Truth is inncorruptible. trust doesn't exist pass one's mind ..just because you trust some enity doesn't mean that enity is trustworthy truth is constant and undisputable ..the existence of God is not undisputable |

Einstein NEVER stated he believe in "God", he never used that term. So once again, get your FACTS straight. Einstein "theories" was within the universe in which light was controlled by the laws of physics ..the laws of physics are not constant therefore Light Speed isn't also .. and now you say that Einstein never said that he believe in God ..ok...let's keep this secret between ourselves ..apparently you believe that the science community doesn't think Einstein believe in God |
