I would never believe this ,, if it hadnt happened to me ,, I am 70 ,, coming up 71 ,, i genuinly look 45>50 ,,i got a very full head of hair , all my own teeth ,and facial features are good ,, no wrinkles !! i have been on dating sites , and put my pic up ,, i dont get any replies except abuse , telling me to put up a real pic , not one of the net .I got loads of experience ,, being the age i am ,, and i have the outlook of a 40 year old ,, but its working against me ??? I want and try to date a 45 >50 year old lady ,, because that is the age group i associate with ,, and as soon as i reveal my age ,, i get kicked into touch . ?? any thoughts , ladies especialy ??

Even if you weren't married and weren't looking to just "hook" up, I would have to agree with delightful, most women probably prefer to date around their own age.

You have to think what the persons in your pool of interest would find in you above all the other prospects they have in the same stage of life, with a similar amount of years ahead of and behind them. Its not always looks or outlook, but actual comparable experience, maturity, goals and other areas of compatibility.
