Humm the way I see it this center piece was in his home not at the school.. It is his home and they can decorate it the way they want too..

I assure you that if you are invited into my home and take offense in the way I decorate my house or how I dress you can turn your happy azz around and walk out the door..

I don't see that it was done to offend...

And if it does then all I can say ya need to grab a set of balls~~whoa

Damn skippy!

is that that negative thinking I was being scorned about earlier?

What is such a 'problem' with someone feeling offense at a choice of decoration for their arrival?

then don't go back...why make a stink over it

Because making a stink is the new fad. God forbid they handle it like adults.

Hey let's blast it on social media and get pity...well not everyone will give pity

Well, it would have been very distant relations for sure.
And the same happened with tea, but many plantation owners were of the same decent!

Haggis and black pudding yuk!
We had the animal rights protests in our town a few years ago, the local port was exporting cattle to France, I said to one of them, nice boots mate, doctor martins? Yep he said.
Where do they get the leather from? Cows!
What I'm saying is I bet they had something made from cotton!

I just remembered, when Obama came here he had dinner with the Queen. as you can imagine the palace has many very old oil paintings, many are life size, so in the dining room was a painting full size depicting if I remember a hunting scene of some royalty hundreds of years ago, they had a black servant in the painting so they removed it in case it offended him!

What if Obama was against hunting and a follower of PETA? Would the queen do somethinf in her home?

It is a hypothetical. Problem is...who knows what will offend someone. I don't think the queen to change anything becauae someone might be offend. If I don't expect her to...I won't

only on mingle.

nobody cares other than some people who want to make a stink and pretend there is something wrong with people voicing their opinions on things that bother them.

and ironically, become a member of the group they are berating.

I have had a dinner where everything was good but one or two things. Should I not eat ANY of it and leave because I didn't like some of it?

I think minglers are protesting too much about a simple opinion of a personal experience.

we have it here too, people get offended by someone taking a quiet knee during the star spangled banner

or not treating a flag a certain way

or a black president married to a black woman saying that if he had a son he might (GASP!) look like a young black man

whoa we can bash what personally offends an individual all day long...

Everyone has different taste and values, being all the same is heading backwards to old communist days. like you've said, if you don't like it then don't look or go back.
