Topic: University students offended by cotton | |

Chattel slavery, also called traditional slavery, is so named because people are treated as the chattel (personal property) of the owner and are bought and sold as commodities. Typically, under the chattel slave system, slave status was imposed on children of the enslaved at birth Some children in poor countries are born into it still or is it different because they are a different colour these days? I was speaking to western countries, I should have been clearer. Not really. It's western countries that had them picking cotton! |

Is that to me? Quotes are messed up.
If it is, don't patronize me |

not patronization, sincerity.
I sincerely suspect something goes on that seems to make you take anything I post so personally. |

I think your taking this very personally msharmony, the op I mean! I think I am responding to others who are taking it just as 'personally' |

Okay msharmony,
Did you win? How do you feel about that? Everyone Else, msharmony won, try to be like me and just accept your defeat. In the future, I suggest you click on her name and go to her profile and ask her if its okay to state your opinion here. Me, well, I just turned off the political feed from my forum listings but we all cope with our defeat in different ways. |

not patronization, sincerity. I sincerely suspect something goes on that seems to make you take anything I post so personally. I asked a question. As I said the quotes weren't right Sometimes quotes aren't quoted when addressing and sometimes quotes get messed. Not personal. I asked because you quoted me (even though the quotes were mixed up) so of you were...then YES that is to me personally Good grief Charlie Brown! |

I only wanted some cotton to mend my socks with! Now she has the police building bridges and notice NOONE Participating in that one? odd huh? people want to 'argue' with others, but they want to single out those others for responding to what they are doing themselves ,,, shrugs I appreciate your good intentions and good laughs though. |
