Don't get me wrong. Meeting up for coffee is fine. I am just curious as to why guys have to say "Lets go out for coffee" instead of just saying "Lets go out sometime". Something like that. |

Where do we go?
I don't know . Where do you want to go? I don't know. Where do you wanna go? I don't know. How about coffee. OK coffee. Perhaps to avoid "that"? |

A coffee can be relatively quick or you can make it last.
So if you're not quite hitting it off you can just say 'nice to meet you, goodbye' after lets says 30 minutes. On the other hand, if you've organised a night out then it's usually hours and hours you have to be with them before saying bye, and let's face it, who wants to sit there with someone when it's plainly clear one or the other doesn't want to be there. Me personally, I go to the toilet and make my escape |

Isn't it because most ppl drink coffee?
I rarely come across a man who's favorite daytime drink is tea? I can't help but think a guy drinking tea is like a man ordering a glass of milk in the pub. Oh, hang about... let's include a safety clause here; exception for English blokes, grin. You can't hold it against them, they don't know any better (yet) . . . |

If you are just meeting them for the first time it is only a meet and greet. Therefore it can last how ever long the conversation is good..
If all is good and they want to go out on a real date then the next step is open for a date.. If not then you know before you go on a actual date. |

Couple yrs back my English friend was gonna make a real English cuppa, and I said I wanted one too. I thought why the heck not. One sip and OMG! Really not my cup of tea, haha |

Txs, meet and greet here is when you drive to the airport and someone meets you then parks your car. We have another thing called park and ride. don't ask about that one, I'm still in trouble over it Apparently you don't just pull up in your car and have a bonk |
