Welcome to mingle!
When this subject has come up several times before....there seems to be a positive concensus towards it here; with an awareness of some obvious challenges mostly from outside antiquated, archaic attitudes. |

This is an open argument. Anyone can respond. I have some friends who are struggling with their own relationships, i guess it's universal whether ur in an inter-racial or with same nationality. I think people when you open a topic they think that it's personal. I've had my fair share of challenges but i get to dea with them. Example, the culture --- i wanna know how it is with some people so as to have an eye opener. Itis by sharing ideas that we learn. We dont necessary have to agree with everything. Just wanna know some thoughts. Everyone's free to comment.

I see no problem with interracial relationships on a personal level. I believe that if two people love each other, they should be together if that is their choice. What takes it from the personal level is the fact there are some people out there who will disapprove. That can be hard on a relationship. But, let us hope and pray those attitudes are fading... fast.

Thinking or having a relationship with other nationality, what are your challenges? Thoughts? A love able to speak words make her dance or stay tune with her frequency. |

Had friends in high school.. Dad: big dark Idi Amin looking Nigerian Mom: small pale (almost albino) blonde/white hair These kids turned out with year round tans, blue eyes, coily long sandy locks My buddy was never without a date and his little sister grew up to be an absolute knockout. |

I must say, they do often turn out good looking! On the other hand, I had a friend at school who ended up having an interstellar relationship. His kids ended up in show business. they were the little worms in men in black making the coffee! Once you've had worm that's all you'll yurn! |

Nothing wrong with interacial relationships. You just have to respect the cultural differences and sensitivities ,.and prepare for some of the racial insults or judgments you will receive from some members in society.
But I think that principle of understanding differences and preparing for external judgment also applies to large age gap relationships and wide contrast in academic /attainment as well. You and the person have.to do what feels right for you after all is said and done |

Live it for yourself |

The worst might be, if the couple can't cope up with it and let these external, uncontrollable things affect them. The term "must be ready" shall always apply i guess. |

Thinking or having a relationship with other nationality, what are your challenges? Thoughts? If you fall in love with someone it doesn't matter what nationality they are in my opinion. Some of the challenges can be religious differences, certain faiths require conversion to a common faith within a marriage, or families can request it before giving their blessing, so you may need to think about your own faith and the future relationship with both families. |

Makes sense. |
