“Coming to and End”


It’s time to hit the highway.
Got started late had a delay.
I got it finally now time to run.
I had some last minute things to get done.
Finally now I’m on my way.
As I go along with traffic on the highway.
Six hours it said it would take.
Just hoping this was not a mistake.
In my review mirror I see the sunset.
Decide no matter what I will not regret.
Besides I needed a break.
The phone rings he is still awake.
Waiting for me making sure I’m okay.
As I tell him about the delay.
I hang up and think about how much more I have to go.
Want be long before we know.
How things will go after I get there.
He refused to sleep till I got there told him I was near.
It was not long before I pulled in to the drive.
He came out and smiled as I said see I finally arrive.
He took me into his arms lips upon lips.
Everything went dark like a full eclipse.
Yes he still had that touch.
That I have missed so much.
Was still the same within his very arms.
He made me feel safe from all that harms.
No promises did we make.
We both had decided to just partake.
Of the moment and what ever it held.
For we both seemed to be compelled.
To see maybe what was in store.
For now we decided to just explore.
As we both just enjoy the moment.
For that was our agreement.
Finally made it back home thinking back at the time we spent.
Regardless of what comes of it I know that I’m glad I went.
Seems within there were things that were still mending.
Finally now within there is and ending.
Now I can see how it ends.
We are better off as friends.

Ya know sometimes there comes a time that when all the doors to a relationship were not closed and you have the chance to go back and talk to them or what ever do what you can deal with. It took me over 2 months to agree to see him again. I did and can say now I'm glad I did for we cut up and laughed and enjoyed each others company and I got the answers I need of why well and found out he sooooooooooooooo messed up. But he admited that. But somethings that were put in the past in the end you realize that is were they need to be left.
