Good or bad.?.. I just picked up my first electronic cigarette the other day.... I have been putting it off for some time.. 3 days ago I walked past a store that sells them.. went in and left there with .. a 30 watt electronic cigarette... + 3 what they call juices.. One is coconut cream pie the other one is double double coffee.. and the last one is .. root beer flavored..
The e-cigarette has a very steampunk look to it.. which I like.. the juices contain a certain level of nicotine..
.. electronic cigarette does not produce smoke but vapor... I have had maybe 8 cigarettes since I have purchased it..wow.... I find you still need willpower to quit smoking.. but it really takes the edge off.. between cigarettes.... cost for battery and..
The vaporizer itself roughly $98.. less than one carton of cigarettes..yup... the battery charges on your cell phone charger.. the only thing you pay for is the juice after initial investment..
They have a hundred flavors..mmmm..
Just need to make it through this first week.. and then I will have to get the electronic cigarette monkey off my back..lol.. but I really like the flavored vapor.. it's very pleasant.. and taste just like they sound.. french vanilla taste like french vanilla..lol

So far I have tried..
Double double which is coffee flavored.

Right now I have.. coconut cream pie in my vaporizer.... which has a nice hint of toasted coconut.. on the back end of the vapor..yum.

Have a root beer flavored one
. That is the extent of my juice selection..lol.. for right now..
Hmm..
Perhaps all you vapor .. vampires out there... lol..
Could list the flavors you have tried..
Give them a good fair and poor rating..
Yup..

The krupa switched from cigs to the vaporizer in March, so it
has been 8 months.

The benefits are tremendous to bystanders as you can smoke away
in restaurants, elevators, airplanes (he smoked right in his
seat on the plane) and no one can tell.

He can smoke in bed.

The only thing negative we have seen so far is, when he got sick,
the vaporizer was hard on his lungs so he switched back to cigs
for a week or two until that went away.

It is a quarter the cost of cigs.

You can do it, I believe in you.

I smoked for 20 years up to 4-5 packs a day (Iraq) mostly 1-2 packs a day. September made a year that I have been off cigarettes and I haven't gotten a head/chest cold at all since last year. Stick with it. If you need any info about juices hardware or maintenance I can help.

What stop me from starting was I had this really nice lunch with friends and they lit up a smoke and I drew in a deep breath started coughing and puked up my nice lunch. I felt crook for days.
It was a Winfield red.
Never went near them after that.

The issue is with the flavourings and aerosol .. Some suggestion of carcinogenic activity .. But no conclusive testing evidence from long term use .

http:/apps.who.int/gb/fctc/PDF/cop6/FCTC_COP6_10-en.pdf[/ url]

I guess it comes down to the chemicals and the effect on lung tissue . Without a doubt cigarette smoking is harmful .. I would check exactly what is in the electronic devices before embarking on that as a healthy alternative waving

Yeah, that's EXACTLY why I stopped using my E-cig... Read some stuff that it is FIFTEEN TIMES WORSE than a normal cig!!!
That scared the crap out of me. If you use it temporarily to ween yourself off of tobacco, then quit entirely, I can see the benefits. But to swap tobacco for the E-cig permanently ... not too sure about that either.

So you can seriously smoke it on the airplane? I've been wondering about that, as I already dread the long long long flight to the US in February laugh

Over here I could still use the smokers area at the Dutch airport, but no smoking for 11-12 hrs on the plane, and I doubt US airports will have smokers areas?? And 11-12 hrs without a smoke, I think I'd go nuts!!

For everyone it is different each time I quit it was always cold turkey.. No e-cigs back then... but then I refused to do the patch as well.. To me if your still getting the nicotine it will take you even longer to get off or never get off the e-cig..

But honestly I sure like it when others choose the e-cig over regular ciggs.. due to the smell ect...

The times I quit prior to the last time I still had a craving for them and had stopped smoking at one time for 2 years and started back up..

The last time I quit I really wanted too, was having issues sleeping at night waking up coughing like crazy to the point of making me sick..

When I finally laid them down I was up to 3 packs a day.. I did have a good reason why I needed to quit when I did and wanted to bad..It was the birth of my first grand baby. Born a preemie and lived with me Dr's said her lungs could not take the smoke.... I laid them down and never had not even one craving to pick them back up..

Jan will be 13 years for me...

If it is truly something you want to do then you got this.. My only advise is not pick up another habit to take over for another one... E-cigs for some I know have worked great. Then there are those that never get off the e-cig and still taking in all that nicotine.. Try to lower the nicotine content little by little...

Most have a hard time due to they are use to having that cig in their hand and the e-cig replaces that for them.... Good luck if it is something you truly want to do then you got this~~~
