I'm sure that there must be a few topics in here somewhere concerning this, but I am not usually in these forum sections, other than my own Indigenous thread...
I studied World Religions & Societies many years ago... I also deal with people of all walks of life, in my volunteer work... and have done so, throughout most of my life-time... It is world-wide knowledge already, that the fighters in ISIS are "hooked on sex and pornography"... on the Internet.. and this should be a major red flag to anyone out there being approached.. (especially women on dating sites & other social sites)... No where in the Koran is it deemed okay to be involved in such vulgar topics... Think about how the Muslim women are veiled from head-to-toe... This and many other factors concerning their behavior concerning killing innocent women and children is in "direct opposition" to the teachings of the Koran.. I have seen a few men in here who are prime suspects for ISIS involvement... I have also seen a few women in here, who exhibit the recruitment techniques used by ISIS, to attract more men into their spineless organization... BE AWARE, people... Don't be fooled by a pretty face and some nice words... and be careful what personal information you share with someone you have never met yet, in person.. As well as trying to lure people into their organization, they also want to steal personal information to use as their aliases... I know a lot of you are smart.., but there are also a lot of you that are desperate for a relationship.. and mistakes often happen, when we rush things... This is not (as President Obama has said).. a war of religions... It is war contrived from a bunch of misled people who are "posing themselves" as religious followers... Feel free to check it out for yourself and do some reading... All the actions of ISIS are in "direct opposition" to the teachings they pretend to/say they follow... One more thing.. This is much like a sales pyramid.., as although they supposedly pay some of their fighters.., the majority of their financial resources funnel to the top people in their organization.., making them richer.. while others below them suffer in poverty.. They are actually doing exactly what they profess to be against... Blessings..! |

There are good people and bad people in all walks of life.., in all religions.., in all areas of politics... etc... etc... etc... They have you fooled and that's what they want you to think.. Your links are just independent sites with their own opinions.. Have you ever read all the Holy books from every religion.., cover to cover..? I have.. |

I read enough of them to know how apologetic your take on the Koran is! You're not even in the Ballpark with your assessment!

History books are also convoluted at times.. A great example is from my own heritage, as I am part Indigenous Canadian.. Look at what the history books say about Indians.. HUGE amount of mistakes.. Go out and talk to some "true" Muslim people.. I bet you won't find even one that agrees with this merciless killing and fabrication of lies.. I can agree to disagree with you, though.. You haven't given me any personal proof of your own knowledge.. Your just going on second hand knowledge.. Time for some others to chime in here.. I wish you enlightenment.. |

I don't have to just rely on books... I've met thousands of people in my life-time.. I know people of all religions and backgrounds.. Not one Muslim I have ever met would agree with what ISIS is doing.. History books are also convoluted at times.. A great example is from my own heritage, as I am part Indigenous Canadian.. Look at what the history books say about Indians.. HUGE amount of mistakes.. Go out and talk to some "true" Muslim people.. I bet you won't find even one that agrees with this merciless killing and fabrication of lies.. I can agree to disagree with you, though.. It's obvious that even with a brief understanding of the many religions You've bothered to take the time to understand, You've figured-out these short-wicked imbeciles can't possibly be actual Muslims. The sooner the Media stops crediting these would-be Muslims with their Hadith contaminated version of Islam, the sooner they'll stop having a following. The problem with this is that it would take government intervention to prevent the Media from saying whatever it wants. The Media wants gripping head-lines to sell to the public, so the more infamous the better the ratings. Let's stop calling them Muslims and start calling them Hadithites! After all... People who believe in a higher power and have truly experienced this higher-power.. (not just going on blind faith) will "know" that there is only love there... I group ISIS along with the KKK... Any group who thinks that ALL of their followers are superior to everyone else.., are really "misguided" and "unholy"..., in my opinion... More people need to stand up and make a statement and teach these misguided souls who are being duped & recruited by a bunch of control freaks... --------- I come from a mixed background.. But.., I follow a traditional N.A. Indigenous pathway... My concern is for ALL good people across the world.. I ask all you out there with even the slightest notion of joining ISIS.., to stop.., consider.., change... Do your own homework.. Don't just blindly follow someone else because they have a title, power and/or self-appointed knowledge... Be your own person... Question everything... Ask God (place your desired name here) yourself... You may be surprised at the answer(s) you get.. Every religious book in the world has both good and bad points, because they were written by a man/woman.. and not by God.. Many of the original texts were scribed, transcribed ...and transferred to different languages... Many words were lost ....and added..., in this process.. Many of the original scribes wrote in candle-light.. and often drank a concoction called "Lot".., which was a combination of very aged wine and opium... (you will even find this word in some of the texts..).. So... There will be both truth and falsities in all texts.., as they were written by "Man" (includes both men and women) and not God... and "Man" makes mistakes... The only way to truly know God, is to experience God... Take some time and do this, before you blindly follow words... GOD IS LIGHT, LOVE & LIFE... GOD IS NOT DEATH... the war on terrorism is no different than any of the other wars (slavery, human rights, communism, drugs etc. etc)...war is all about power and profit.....distortion of religious concepts has been used by war mongers to pit a man against his own brother for centuries...a very efficient recruitment tool to garner soldiers to fight the next battle... the war mongers play both ends against the middle, and the hapless soldiers of both armies enter the battlefield armed with the idea that God is on my side, my quest is righteous in His eyes is their claim.... beware of the financiers of war, they are the true enemy, their profit is huge and they will stop at nothing to continue or start wars...if there is no enemy to battle against, then they will assuredly create one to fight against.....what better place to search for a martyr than among those who have nothing to lose....
