yes, and now that the numbers have grown,, the alternatives offered by the republicans are,,,,what?

the do nothing politicians critiquing and cutting down any idea that isn't theres, so busy doing so that they have no ideas

and time will tell whether doing NOTHING would have been the better choice

and in spite , Reagan is still hero to many

and Obama is just 'chitting' on 'the country,,,

Reagan didn't have a template, Obama does...He knows how much the voting numbers changed after the amnesty act in 1986 and he also knows granting amnesty to millions of illegals will further cripple the economy, but oh well, it will go far to put another liberal in office in 2016...And not agreeing with Obama does not mean "doing nothing" it mean doing something better....Yep, once again Obama chits on Americans....

Obama could have closed the border, imposed sanctions on companies hiring illegals (which probably just meant enforcing the law!), removed federal funds for the support of illegals (instead of pushing them to get food stamps!), and put the well being of US citizens over those of aliens but helping the Democrats took priority.

it suits the unbridled Internationalism of a George Soros!

True, but I think it is mostly about getting a permanent Democratic voting block.

^^^This....Turning the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA into a socialist country will take longer than this administration has and the next one up to bat WILL play ball...In many ways, she is worse than Obama because she actually has a brain and she knows how to use it...There was a time when I championed her because I strongly believe women have the ability to lead ...Benghazi changed all that....

She has a brain, unlike those that will vote for her.grumble

whoa whoa

this is just as much a problem as the games politicians play

citizens who attack the 'intelligence' of others who don't support the politicians they support or choose to support those they do not

maybe I don't understand why people support a certain politician, but I don't immediately attack their intelligence or intentions because of it,,,

having different social perspectives and priorities does not automatically equate to being less intelligent or caring less about the place we live,,,

Maybe "less informed" is a better phrase?

its better though it also assumes a lot and kind of postures that the critic is by extension 'more informed'

I find in politics, people are greatly 'informed' of the things that support their point of view, and not very informed about much else,,

its an extension of the all or nothing culture

people are heroes OR cowards

people are good OR bad

instead of people are complex, with moments throughout life that will fit in all the above columns,,,

sanctions? like this?

"ICE will focus its resources within the worksite enforcement program on the criminal prosecution of employers who knowingly hire illegal workers in order to target the root cause of illegal immigration," Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano said in April 2009.

The change was dramatic: the number of I-9 audits soared from 503 in 2008 to more than 8,000 in 2009.

Under Obama, ICE announced sanctions against major employers. That included a $1 million fine gainst Abercrombie and Fitch that grew out of an I-9 inspection in November 2008 while Bush was president, and the termination of hundreds of workers at Chipotle restaurants.

In 2007, ICE arrested 92 employers, while in 2012 it arrested 240, according to ICE. Final orders -- rulings at the end of the case which show employers violated hiring rules -- also increased under Obama. In 2007, there were two final orders, while in 2012 there were 495.

much is being done to do SOMETHING about illegal immigration under OBAMA,, it may be a good idea to take time to research some of it instead of assuming the worst and preaching what he 'knows' or 'could do'....

I will admit that I don't go through pages of posts everytime I contribute to a thread, I tend to respond to the current page

still, I have gone back over the previous six pages and find metalwing has also not provided an answer to what the republicans (speaking of the relevant republicans since OBAMAS election) have offered to do about immigration

I have already provided one of the things happening under OBAMA that was complained about allegedly him not doing,,,,

I will wait for the answer to what action republicans have made to do something about immigration,,,,,,since 2009

much is being done to do SOMETHING about illegal immigration under OBAMA,, it may be a good idea to take time to research some of it instead of assuming the worst and preaching what he 'knows' or 'could do'....

I guess you don't know that if you look around, millions of jobs are going to illegals. The entire construction industry is rapidly being converted to a "jobs program" for illegals. The government's own research on the jobs market shows that most of the new jobs under the Obama watch has gone to illegals.

It may be a good idea to be aware of what is happening in the US instead of quoting doctored Govt BS. I bet you think his "deportation" statistics are real too! ... after counted the ones turned back at the border as deportations.

"The Center for Immigration Studies released a report early Friday saying that according to government data, the net number of jobs created between 2000 to 2014 all went to immigrants, not people born in the United States.

The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000..."

MH, you post statistics that Obama is taking action to halt immigration and ignoring all the things he has done to open the floodgates. Obama's immigration polices are even going to court for being unconstitutional! Then in other threads you comment on the need for jobs in the black communities. Where do you think those jobs went?

yes, and now that the numbers have grown,, the alternatives offered by the republicans are,,,,what?

the do nothing politicians critiquing and cutting down any idea that isn't theres, so busy doing so that they have no ideas

and time will tell whether doing NOTHING would have been the better choice

and in spite , Reagan is still hero to many

and Obama is just 'chitting' on 'the country,,,

Reagan didn't have a template, Obama does...He knows how much the voting numbers changed after the amnesty act in 1986 and he also knows granting amnesty to millions of illegals will further cripple the economy, but oh well, it will go far to put another liberal in office in 2016...And not agreeing with Obama does not mean "doing nothing" it mean doing something better....Yep, once again Obama chits on Americans....

Obama could have closed the border, imposed sanctions on companies hiring illegals (which probably just meant enforcing the law!), removed federal funds for the support of illegals (instead of pushing them to get food stamps!), and put the well being of US citizens over those of aliens but helping the Democrats took priority.

sanctions?

I hope you get a better answer than I got Joe...And by the way, "thanks for contributing facts alongside the usual political perspective and opinion" that is standard fare for most Obama supporters....

conversely,,, you are ignoring all the things he has done to halt and improve and continue to post all the other things he 'could' be doing,,

and blacks are pretty much where they have been long before the 'immigration problem'

so, 'wherever the jobs are going',,cant be blamed on immigration,,,

you choose your quotes I will choose mine

I tend to trust the organization over a process to report the numbers in the process.....but what do I know

sidenote: most statements with 'all' in them, cant be trusted, I dont find any such information on the actual CIS site,,,,might want to check into it:wink:
