an international site is a site open for all nationalities from all around the globe , but on the other hand , such site should be based on an international language , a language that most of world's population can talk and communicate with .... nothing's better than English in this case . and as a none-native English speaker , I've had no troubles in this site since i signed up . How ya gettin on? Its been a coons age eh . I'll be haggin' for a fortnight since I just draged up. I was out for a rip the other night and a swamp donkey came outa the draw and about rubbed me out, good thing! its just an ought one but still. Probably hit the fjords for a bit and vegitate, maybe catch flipper out the passage, and you? Why would you be on a forum when you don't speak the language? You wouldn't be able to communicate and join in. I find it rather self-explanatory that everyone speaks English. Normally speaking ppl with international, cultural interests, speak English as well. So what's the big deal? International to me means ppl from all nationalities are free to join and interact with each other. Would be a tad difficult if each would stick to his/her own language. And yes, you native speakers English are lucky b@**@rds cos you can basically go anywhere in the world without having to learn another language. Except Morocco. That didn't really work too well in English. Many Dutch forums you're not allowed to post an English text without Dutch translation. Sort of a similar thing. But I don't implement that rule on my forum. This is so true...not necessarily fair, but true. Esperanza didn't work, and yes the imperial pig language is the closest thing to an international language available. A bit funny Crystal, while in Holland I had an easier time understanding English spoken by the Dutch...than the FREEGIN ENGLISH!  .....and sadly the grammar was better than most of the Americans I run in to. Haha, guess you're a real Southerner  Must admit I love BrE and I have a thing for Scottish accents, very sexy. I guess the Dutch' English is understandable, but their pronunciation is horrible :/ |

I notice an remarkable improvement in the written English of some out of town folks who post regularly. It's a good thing, and people here are pretty accepting when they see effort in the OP. I'd get a lil annoyed if people started posting in Swahili How could you get annoyed unless you spoke Swahili? If they drew a doughnut, a hyphen and an arrow pointed at you, I'd get it. But a bunch of what appears to be gibberish? Might be a compliment Annoyed as in... It'd be annoying to google translate 20 different languages, I didn't say i'd be "offended" I actually want to know what people have to say.

Will not say I have a great command of the language at all. Mildly sufficient at best, but most of my colloquialisms are based in surf culture and are "intentionally" incorrect.
