To be honest don't really know how much of or social structure is reliant on the internet?
I mean government, military stuff etc etc. But also stock exchange? You couldn't do any online banking so how the heck are you supposed to pay your bills? And companies couldn't cash their money, could they? So how much of our structure would collapse, I honestly don't really know? I think Africa is still different in that sense. But I think in western countries an awful lot of systems are based on usage of the internet. And I'm not talking personal 'fun' use like social media. And sure, only 7 days, but that could be enough to completely total our social, military, banking systems etc etc etc Me personally, I'd be rather PO |

Read some books. Watch some TV. Listen to music on my stereo.
I maintained most of my sanity for years without the net, and I could survive without it now. I've been around a while though. Anyone under 20 though, they're gonna find it pretty difficult I'm sure. |

It will still be available to our military and govt. They have a separate grid and back up generators and transformers.
However, the public will not. So you had better have gas, cash, and put your plan into action, that you have already thought out. |

In theory, it was supposed to happen already, anybody recall Y2K?
Yawner. |
|

It could still happen with an EMP Electro magnetic Pulse, or extreme solar flare.
I was going to college for MCIS at the time of Y2K. We just told to update flash bios's. It was a Micro Soft problem in only some of it's software. A Bug the lazy programmers did not use the 4 digit year instead of short cutting to 2 digit end year. We knew it was nothing, us geeks, back then. |
