Has everything to do with it, how do you think these diseases and what not get spread? Through exchange of bodily fluids. And the semen remaining in the vagina has nothing to do with hygiene. No matter how much she washed the outside, the semen would still remain in her. The fluid that could potentially carry the disease would still be inside her for close to 7 days. Of course that's not an exact number, just a possibility, would differ woman to woman. All I did was point out the possible negatives of this form of action eg., one night stands and or casual sex.

@cowboy... You have not a clue of what I'm trying to say.

Promiscuity does NOT mean f@cking without a condom... gawd!

@missy... I'm fully aware of the risks of having intercourse with complete strangers... I was merely pointing out to cowboy how wrong he was about the "promiscuous" consciously swapping bodily fluids on a regular basis. There was no need to come to his defense on this subject by posting thesaurus... But by posting it, you proved my point... nothing in there about UNprotected sex!

??? Hate to tell you, but condoms don't keep all fluids from passing. Only minimizes it to keep from pregnancy and potentially keep you clean from diseases. But isn't a guarantee.

Condoms or "protection" does not guarantee safety especially to the extent of being "promiscuous". This includes but not limited to touching her down there with your hands and then possibly putting the condom on. As soon as any form of bodily fluids are exchanged, it's possible to spread. Even as far as taking the condom off, then touching yourself to urinate even before you washing your hands off after handling the condom.

.. generally. these people. including myself. have a compulsive nature.
.. they need for instant gratification.
.. it does not make it wrong..
it is just a different way of doing things.. I know a lot of friends.. of mine.. met their spouses.. by having a one night stand with them...
. go figure that out..
Probably so. Some must be like that. Im just telling you....everyone is not.

It makes sense that you would be friends with people of a similar consistency.

The truth about having one night stands and having only one night stand.

Some do.

Some dont.

huh Nobody here that I know of has accused those approving of one-night stands of "lacking of character". Nobody here has cited "religious convictions" for being personally opposed to one-night stands.
I know. interesting conjuring goin on. apparently we are having conversations without our knowledge.

It's conviction and guilt.

i think the whole topic is offensive...and it is going to continue to be offensive to one camp or the other....i think the thread should be pulled off the boards in its entirety, just like i have seen many others disappear....what is the point in continuing an argument that cannot be won by either side ? morality is a personal decision.....enough already with the judgemental attitudes...

I don't think so. However, it looks to me like some Humans are itching to have a fight about something.

The folks who expressed reasons for not having one-night stands didn't mention morality as a reason for not having one-night stands.

you don't say by the way this is the one time we're going to do this.. it just happens..
that has been my experience.. you don't plan it.... so the question might be.. are you easy.. do you tend to let your urges override your brain...
.. and that's we're !not using a condom falls in place... you get carried away.
let your needs override.. your practical self.. the self that says.. but I don't have a condom.. then your needs.say.. forget the condom....
..
its interesting that you think everyone functions that way. as someone who doesnt have one night stands, it has been my experience that it never just happens.

I have sex. just not with strangers. Im not interested in sex with a stranger, and honestly for me, that would not be an occasion to 'let go' anyway. I let go when Im with someone I trust.

@klc

I used a filing cabinet for a night stand for a long time. Never had to worry about spilling my water during the night. I'm thinking about getting rid of my night stand because I got a new bed and its really high off the floor and too high to make my nightstand functional. Oh I know! instead of buying a step stool ill use my night stand!

Well I did...I stated my reasons were my own code of ethics which were based on my own moral or conscience standards I have chosen for myself, and the disease issues which could come as a result of living that way, but not because of my religious beliefs. It was simply a lifestyle choice based on MY own conscience for MYSELF.

Yep, nobody here personally opposed to one-night stands has cited religion for the opposition. Even an atheist can have a set of morals.
