Just want to see if there is anybody out there that love animals as much as i do? But my fav pet are my rats ;)

I had a hairless rat years back. Took alittle getting use to the ideal of having a rat for a pet. Turned out to be the coolest buddy I had in years. Liked to play tag with my hand under the covers and hide and seek. I actually thought he ran away one day when I returned from work and the top of his aquarium was pushed to the side and he wasnt in it. Was changing in the bedroom when I noticed my pillow moving. When I picked up the pillow and said What are you doing, he spun two circles, tagged my hand and as fast as he could ran back to the aquarium. Cool man... Who would expect such characteristics from a rat? It finally got to where id let him in the room at night and it never failed that when I woke up in the morning, he would be balled up next to my head on the pillow. Crazy man!!!!

I like domestic rats but i would not go near those who live in the sewer.

I had pet mice as a child. I would spend hours playing with them and observing their behavior. Never owned a pet rat before.

My first pet who was "mine" was a rat. I named him Applesauce (after my favorite thing at the time - did I mention this was when I was five or six?). I've had pet rats off-and-on since then. Most recently I had two pet rats (one for me, one for my room-mate), who unfortunately developed an infection in the lungs that is apparently pretty common for rats. Both died after I had them less than a week, so I hardly got to know them at all.

Rats are one of the best non-standard pets a person can have. Not only are they friendly, inquisitive, and soft and furry, but they're damn intelligent. They can snuggle up to you as well as a cat can, and you can teach them several tricks like a dog - or as Mr. Toungetitan says, they'll come up with games all on their own.

I miss having a rat as a pet; I think I'll probably get another one sometime this year.

Aye, my mate loves Rats. Well he makes a good living as a pest-controller and killing them pays his bills!

I had rat bikes I've had rat boats even had a rat car... Oh that's another story...
Back to live rats..... Had one in the house once killed it......... But ya I guess one for a pet it might be different..
I had a pet monitor lizard for a few years was 1 meter long at 2 years old he was cool... Scared other people though....

RATS ARE AWESOME! We (back when there was a "we") were owned by a black & white girl named "Mama Mouse" of all things. She came from the pet store pregnant so in no time at all we were up to who knows how many rats living outdoors around and in the trailer. Things got out of hand for a minute there hahaha! Man, lots of great memories though. Here's to you, Mama Mouse, Rhodie, Lance, Chelsie, Big Bobbie, and dozens more all the way back to childhood and the pottie-trained kid I had who would follow me from room to room or else climb up onto my shoulder to help me navigate the house haha.

I love rats! I used to own 2 males, a topaz hooded named Kratos and a black hooded named Beast. I miss my boys. Best pets ever, I taught them so much the only thing I didn't like was that they marked me. Ew any kind of pee is gross.

Rats are neat pets. I agree they are pretty cute and smart.

I have also owned a mouse, guine pig, chinchilla, hamsters and a rabbit.

Pack rats are not good.

When I say pack rats, I am talking about the animal, not people who are "pack rats". They do damage to car/truck engines.
