they arrived last night in the field next door.. whoa.. lotsa honkin and squawkin.. which means.. SPRING has finally SPRUNG!! and with them? beautiful sunny'n milder days YAY

My puter took a crap on me so I had to wipe and reload it....and since I needed to upgrade my os I did so, in between that and work. I haven't been hoping on a lot.I'm still here tho. No worries.

I swear.. life is a REAL ADventure

last night I get a call from my youngest "ma.. I can't find my lip ring... would it be a big deal if it landed in the baby's supper and I accidently fed it to him???"
me: "are you sure? when do you last remember it was there"
her: "just before I fed him supper"
me: "have you checked the floor? your clothes? and the rest of your apartment? retrace your steps.. "
her: "no.. not yet.. okay.. I'll look and call you back"

10 mins later the phone rings:
her: "ma.. I can't find it.. what should I do?
me: "first off.. was it a round ring, stud type or is it a hook type?
her: "a stud type" (not that it really mattered.. I just wanted to her focus her thoughts)
me: "I know it means probably spending the night there.. but I'd go to the hospital JUST in case.."
her: *sighs* "really?"
me: "sweetie.. if he was older I'd say -no worries, it'll pass, just keep an eye on him for the next 24-48 hrs- but he's an infant.. so I'd prefer erring on the side of caution and bite the bullet and go to the emergency"
her: *sighs* yeah.. I guess..
me: call your dad.. he's 5 mins away and will NEVER say no to helping out when it comes to your or his safety.. get everything ready and call me when you're on your way..
her: okay...

an hour later the phone rings again...
her: ma.. we're on our way.. I'm with Dad
me: okay sweetie.. hang in there.. it'll all work out okay.. keep me posted via text okay?
her: yeah *crying*
me: whats up sweetie?
her: IT'S ALL MY FAULT (in between sobs)
me: it was an accident sweetie.. and now you're being a good parent by taking responsibility for your actions and dealing with it as you SHOULD..okay?
her: yeah.. okay.. I better go... DAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD LOOOOOOOOOOK OUTTTTTT!!!!!!! *crash* line cuts...

10 mins later the phone rings again.. (by this time it was around 10-10:30pm)
her: mom.. we're okay.. someone sideswiped dad's car and he called the police AND an ambulance for me & baby cuz he couldn't leave or take us to the hospital.. so we're in the ambulance now... I'll text you when I know something k?
me: okay sweetie.. be safe.. love you


I got 3 texts during the night.. one at about 11pm (mom.. we're here and registered.. now comes the wait.. *sighs*)

another at 3am (we just finished the x-rays and have to wait for the doc)

last one at 5:57 am(finally home.. I'm exhausted and so is the lil pooper lol.. he's fine by the way.. there was nothing on the x-ray showing and the doc said not to worry, didn't look like it was in him.. I'm going to bed.. love you)

my response: life as a parent.. never a dull moment huh? *wink*.. sleep while you can sweetie..he'll be up and hungry soon enough.. lol

her: oh joy! lol
