Feeling almost human after feeling like I got ran over truck a couple of times yesterday

for some reason.. I awoke with a start at 5:38 AM.. not sure what it was.. first thought, it may have been a hunter (geese are returning) but it was still not light enough to be legal.. I laid there listening and didn't hear a thing so tried falling back to sleep.. then at 5:56 AM the phone rang.. seriously?? however I wasn't at all surprised to see my youngest's phone # on the display..

me: hey kiddo.. what's up?
her: I'm sick..
me: okay.. so.. what do you want ME to do about it..*chuckles*
her: can you come get the baby?
me: are you NUTS??? and my dad said I had bad timing
her: why?
me: remember...?? my fridge comes this morning..
her: oh.. yeah.. right.. well then.. what am I supposed to do?
me: suck it up?! seriously though.. sweetie.. I'm an hour & 1/2 away AND it's friggen RUSH hour.. with the traffic.. I'd get there in like 2-1/2 hrs or MORE.. sorry.. you moved way out there.. call yer dad.. he's 5 mins away.. OR your sister.. she's 10 mins away..
her: when I'm sick I want my mommy..
me: *singing* you can't always get whatcha want...
her: fine..
me: listen sweetie.. when you're a parent.. you just gotta suck it up and deal.. put yourself on hold till he goes for a nap then you nap too.. thats just the way life is.. and how I managed, alone, with the 2 of you all those years...
her: but the nurse said it's contagious!!
me: what's contagious?
her: food poisoning
me: seriously?? where the heck did she get HER license to practice from??
her: well.. I read it on the internet too..
me: *explains how food poisoning works*
her: oh...


that went on for about an hour till I finally said to get off the phone with me and call her dad or sister.. kids!! never a dull moment

anywho.. admittedly.. life would be boring without kids..


I LOVE IT!! I JUST got off the phone with Hydro Quebec.. nice woman.. she thanked me for my go figure..

they've JUST hiked the 'kw rate' pricing april 1st.. THEN they send out a letter (got Monday) how they're changing all the meters to the new digital ones they can read directly from their system (no more meter readers) so they'll be saving on global CO2 emissions.. super but what I DON'T get is.. why increase OUR charges.. when they're going to be saving 100's of THOUSANDS of $$$ on the 1) staff they're gonna fire cuz they don't need them any more and 2) they'll be able to sell their fleet of vehicles (cha-CHING) and save on maintenance etc.. so.. if THEY save.. why NOT pass the savings onto the client sounds SANE to ME! however they've inCREASED our fees instead.. just doesn't add up for the client.. it's GREAT for big business though.. lets not of course forget that the USA gets OUR hydro CHEAPER then WE do.. time to rethink BIG BUSINESS and remember it's the LIL guys that pay for it.. and if we don't have the money? THEY don't get PAID..

Just got back from talking with my old boss at the cemetery. All goes well I may end up with two jobs for a while. But that means I'll be missing the hell out of yall.

awwwwwww.. but the up side bro is.. you get ta earn extra $$$ just don't wear yourself down TOO much.. wouldn't want you ending up sick cuz you pushed yourself TOO hard..

we'd miss you bunches too (((bro))) but we have to take life.. as it happens!

So far so good everything is going the way I wanted I will be having two jobs by the end of next week. Happy Thursday yall.((((Sistahs)))))

another episode to add to the conTINUing saga OF.... dun dun DAHHHHH... as the stomach turns!

after an extensive search for a mover that could pick up 'n deliver my new fridge (for a REASONABLE fee) AND confirming(again) said pick up some 18 hrs before due(after already 2 delays.. sue me.. I'm tolerant).. he NEVER SHOWED.. couldn't get him on the PHONE.. NADA.. not a word.. so yesterday afternoon, after finally reaching SOMEONE at that company.. THEY said they hadn't heard from their guy either.. so I thanked them for wasting my time and started the search anew.. (I'd have done it myself but my truck is more like an econoline than a pick-up.. and ya can't lay a bottom mounted fridge on it's SIDE ta move it.. ) after several wasted calls I found another.. cheaper .. that promised pick up and delivery toDAY just hope they don't screw with me too my fridge is finally saying GOODNIGHT! and of COURSE I had to wait till it was taking it's last breaths before searching for a new one so.. I'll suck that up however.. not thrilled at the way some do business these days.. just freakin unbeLIEVable

on another note.. it's THURSDAY which simply means.. one day closer to FLY-DAY YAY
