White racist created the "race card" to excuse their victimization of other races. There is no such thing as a race card.

White racists always claim to have black friends, like I said it is how they console themselves. Around 1962 I was hitch-hiking south from Wash. DC with a friend. One ride we got was outside Atlanta at dusk by a cabbie who was black. He asked if we would like to see some real southern history in the making. He drove to some mountain, just outside Atlanta. Lots of cars were there with lots of people, all going to a huge bonfire. It was a Klan Rally. He knew virtually all the men in white robs and they all greeted each other as old friends. As several of the Klan members told us, everyone was considered 'family' and it was the outsiders, especially the 'yankees' and the Feds with blacks from up north that they were against, not the blacks that they all grew up with and lived around. In all the time we hitched around the old South, we never once saw or heard any ill will expressed by southern whites to southern blacks by local folks; outsider whites from some other southern states, yes, but the locals soon convinced them to adopt a more 'positive attitude' to 'their black folks'.... That trip was an eye opener in many ways.... |

White racist created the "race card" to excuse their victimization of other races. There is no such thing as a race card. There's also no use in arguing with people about that sort of thing; people are comfortable with their ignorance and have to make excuses for why they do and say the things they do and say. You did the right thing in leaving him alone. I had to unfriend someone a few months ago for making posts like that about gays, and guess what? He had no idea why I was pissed off.....whatever. |

I don't know if that qualifies him as a racist, true Obama is very shady! Maybe he is not a supporter, Muslim is a religion not a race, not having a birth certificate is very shady! Not an Obama fan here but definitely not a racist. Maybe you should not deal politics with him since everything else was mind blowing. Doesn't sound like he's a racist to me.

In 1967 I caused a ruckus in my high school by befriending black athletes who integrated our previouosly all-white school. Also, I spent a good deal of "personal" time with the sister of one of those black athletes, and that caused a furor...did I mention that was 1967, and did I mention it was in ALABAMA? It was, and that makes me quite certain I am not a racist, but I thoroughly and completely disapprove of barack obama. You may want to reevaluate yourself and make sure you don't just see "white racist" whenever someone doesn't share your admiration for Little Barry Soetoro. Remember, he is just as much WHITE as he is black. G. I hate talking Politics and Religion for this very reason..people can get quite nasty to each other and in the end, nobody wins |

They were raised with it and are told it is the truth and they just go with it. There is no white to dispute it because they were all raised the same. |

You are right. It was a generalized statement of which I know there to be a few whites who became smarter than they were taught and outgrew the taught racism. So I concede that one. |

I conceded that I was hasty in my words and made a generalized statement here. There are whites who have out grown their raising and social environment to not be white racists who don't know they are white racists. Posting this again. |

I sent him away and we didn't talk politics that is how I didn't know all this time. And I know it is hard for white folks to hear but when you are white in a country created by white racists and white racist ruled since the beginning it is more likely you will be raised a racist than not. |
