Topic: what is 666? | |

This isn't based on say so it is based on facts. Atheist seem to forget we already had the Old testament written hundreds of years before Jesus was born. All those prophecies I showed you had(on the left side as bible verses)were the predictions written in the old testament long, long before Jesus was born. All the fulfillments(written on the right next to it)were written after Jesus died in the New testament. So you can say it was all made up but for that to be true you would have to say the Old testament of the bible was never written and never existed.Considering you have tens of thousands of records that it did exist including testimony from kings and governors that were not involved in religion. You would also have to discredit the existence of Jews living in that time as their whole religion was based on the Old testament. Trying to prove the Old testament never existed is a complete waste of time on your part. The proof is so overwhelming that any professor, teacher, scholar,or anyone with any type of credibility religious or not would tell you that both Jews, and the old testament were both real hundreds of years before Christ was born.If you accept the fact it was a real book then you have to accept the fact that these prophecies were really written and did come true(all of them). Of course you can deny everything and just sit back and watch prophecies written in the new testament come true as the years go by.All the prophecies will come true in time no matter what you believe. If you think it is so easy why don't you write down 60 prophecies about one man including what his name will be,the names of his parents, where he will be born, where he will go,who he will see,how he will die,and what he will say, hundreds of years from now and have it all come true exactly as you say it.Your odds of that happening are listing in the above quotes. |

On this 1 in however many chances of Jesus fulfilling Old Testament prophecies... Didja ever tink 'bout it like dis? If a book, especially one as prominent in human history as the Bible, is reportedly known to have prophetic writing, and it goes through several different editing phases after Jesus was reported to have died - in which any incongruencies could easily be changed or left out - the chances are pretty god-damned good that whatever prophetic writing the editors leave will be fulfilled... Dontcha think??? 39 years of "oral tradition", and *NOT* the modern-day Catholic kind of "oral". As if it is an infallible, absolute, and concrete source of truth. And even then... They were *still* not ALL filled. The prophecies aside, and the oral traditions aside, the Dead Sea Scrolls are a good example of older text being studied from the original language. Misinterpretation of the meaning comes more from a lack of true understanding of the context of the local politics and military situation. "The dead sea scrolls and the language of binary opposition: a structuralist/post-structuralist approach. Link to this page The dead sea scrolls and the language of binary opposition: a structuralist/post-structuralist approach. The Qumran corpus has been rigorously explored in relation to the Hebrew language and its evolution, but little attention has been devoted to elements of "binary opposition" (pairs of theoretical opposites, often organised in a hierarchy) inherent in Qumranic nuance and the implications of such expression on the subsequent development of religious thought and culture. Structuralist and poststructuralist critics examined these oppositions, ultimately viewing them as unstable, privileging one member of the pair and marginalising the other. The dualistic theology of Qumran can be looked upon as a superb example of Hebraic "binary opposition," underlying the Greek New Testament expression of dualism as well. The Dead Sea Scrolls arguably represent a quantum leap toward a theology of "divine election," which in turn became an expression of cultural superiority. A reevaluation of Qumranic dualism may help "de-center" such language, in the ancient sources and in modern usage as well. The Hebrew of the Dead Sea Scrolls has been thoroughly analysed with respect to its implications vis-a-vis the evolution of the language, but relatively little research has focused on Qumranic Hebrew as a conveyor of what structuralist critics have referred to as "binary oppositions"--the setting up, linguistically, of opposing pairs of terms. Such terms as benei or / benei khoshekh ("sons of light"/ "sons of darkness") and Yisrael / Ammim ("Israel"/"the nations") became in the Scrolls tools of an exclusionary theology which had profound consequences on the development of western religious traditions. " A modern analogy would be someone finding a "Mingle2 forum post" of a liberal describing Obama as a "son of light" and also finding the opposing text describing Obama as a "son of darkness". What is a linguist historian to do? The dead sea scrolls were a huge blow to Atheist out there as you had documents that were buried for thousands of years written at least a 1,000 years earlier than any other biblical document ever found. That give Christianity and the bible even more firepower as the dead sea scrolls were basically just parts and pieces of the Old testament written on copper pages. The scrolls deeply rejected any Atheist ideas that the old and new testament was made up after Jesus died or was written by people during his time as you had solid evidence they were written a thousands years before he was born. The fact they were buried in their original jars not to be seen for over 2,000 years shoots every Atheist theory in the foot because... 1.)There was evidence of the Old testament before Jesus. 2.)Jesus was prophecised and discussed in the Dead sea scrolls. 3.)The old testament was at least a 1,000 years old. 4.)The dead sea scrolls was inline with the same writings of the old testament from other biblical sources written at that time. 5.The scrolls were authentic. Your language and how the misread it theory is laughable at best. They have already translated the scrolls into english and yes it was worded different but nobody cares because much like bible translations over the years you get the same point no matter how it is worded.Below is a few examples... New International Version (©1984) Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? New Living Translation (©2007) Which of you can truthfully accuse me of sin? And since I am telling you the truth, why don't you believe me? English Standard Version (©2001) Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? New American Standard Bible (©1995) "Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? Young's Literal Translation Who of you doth convict me of sin? and if I speak truth, wherefore do ye not believe me? The fact that you completely misread my post proves my point. Someone studying the language of thousands of years ago can only understand the meaning in context with the period. You and I are in the same period with the same (theoretically) contextual subtle nuances but you apply an out of context meaning to statements I thought I had carefully framed. The facts are that modern Christians apply different meanings to the writings as taught by their Churchs. As individuals, again they apply different meanings. Those who study the writings from a historical and linguistic point of view see yet another subtle variation in the text. They do not necessarily conflict, but can. The book teaches you to seek understanding of others, not to attack them. |

what is 666?how is it related to antichrist ?what does each 6
represent?(help needed from christians too)? the devils number known as "tapu" "MassTrade"Wrote:Wow. This is quite an ancient thread you've brought up to the front, BestBeW "ARcam" Wrote 666 is a misprint, a mistranslation, a mistake. The actual number is 616, according to the Dead Sea Scrolls. Everything you've ever heard about 666 is just plain wrong. Gee, I wonder how many other mistranslations there are... Why does anyone still believe this b.s.? Well this could be 616,because the middle number is the seals, and the first seal is the warning of the antichrist "I know nothin about the Dead Sea Scrolls but" Beloved, 666 is not a misprint, the numbers relates to the Inspired Word as our Warning from God in his letter to us "The Bible" As a Christian you have to beleave what Bible says as the Truth! The one Seeking the Truth Asked what is 666? how is related to the antichrist? Then what does each 6 represent? So to know for sure what they mean(the numbers) we have to go to the Bible of what our Father says; Rev 13: 18 ( Here is Wisdom) wisdom means understanding what our Father is saying here!! Rev 13:16 (And he causeth all) means the antichrist will decieve as many as he can, to recieve his mark IN thier right hand, or IN thier foreheads, Beloved this means doing the work of Satan,"the antichrist" its what your thinking,(your mind) the works of what you do with your hands, its called the (Mark of the Beast) Rev 13:13 "Great Wonders" Satan will perform great tricks maken many think he's Jesus, he will even look like Jesus, have scars on his hand and feet snap he's fingers (maken fire come down from the clouds) The Devil,Satan,Lucerfer, the wicked one,the Beast the Antichrist, what does the word Anti mean,"instead of" he will come saving all he can, maken folks see again that have been blind, healing ones that caint walk, Just remember these words my Friends if your in your flesh body and you hear jesus has come, "dont go worship him" its not Jesus Christ its the (Antichrist) when will he come? on 666 (The Sixth Trumph) a trump sounds alarms in Heaven. " a total of seven" Rev 8:6 (The Sixth Seal) Seals is the Wisdom of our Father Warnings,"seven of them" Rev 6:1 (The Sixth Vial) Vial's are the cups of God's Wrath that God allows the Angels to dumpout on Sinful Nations.a total of seven Rev 16:1 The book of Revalation means to make known,to reveal to us, of the end time's,on 666 the antichrist comes in Rev 16:15 Jesus says behold I come as a thief in the night. Why because so many will allready think there worshiping him. "but it will be the antichrist" One Left , One Taken If They Say here is Christ Dont belieave them When the real JesusChrist comes it will be on 777, My Friends I hope this will help, Ask our Father for understanding he will give to all that seek!! the Holy Spirit, the Mark of the Beast, is whats running around our world right now, God gave us these flesh bodys and free will to choose Smile |

Ahhh superstition. I used to work at a service station and the total for one guy's gas and drink was $6.66. After seeing the total, the guy demanded that I charge him an extra penny. When I refused, citing that its just a combination of numbers, he added a pack of gum.

well, ad another six and thats my phone number. This isn't based on say so it is based on facts. There were lots of scripture laying around, but I don't think it had ever been compiled into a book called the "old testament" or any other name. Now even if the so-called predictions in the alleged old testament were written and seen as "predictions" or "prophecies." someone (unknown to us)could have come along and decided to write the new testament (which is clearly a plagiarized piece of work) and that someone could write those books in such a way, from the information in the other old scriptures, that it is made to look like (appear) that the so called prophecies of the older scriptures did come true. So they invented this savior from the old scripture. What I am saying is that even if the older scripture has some truth in it, that does not guarantee that the new scripture, the new testament is not a complete scam and forgery, which I think it is. |

Those numbers are a warning for Christians only, everyone else will not understand. look to Hebrew alphabet/numerical system and find out what www stands for. We are using them every day and few even know they are doing so.
