Oddly enough, I wrote this on 6 Jun 2007 in Baghdad of all places, which may explain the title. May you at once Be forever on the brink And just beyond. May the first ripple Come always from you and not the wand. May two hearts Never be one and thereby Deny you yours. And may windows open To hold you Instead of doors. May tomorrow Be content in your past For today's sake, And may the prayers Be silent that you choose To wish and then break.
