I work on a computer all day long and I type with two fingers. Two fingers! I've taken two different typing classes in my youth and passed both if them, only because I was a jock. Just sayin.... So what you're saying is you're too lazy to learn to type correctly? I mean, if you use a computer all day for work, you have to really try not to learn to type. No, what I'm saying is that I'm so damned good at what I do, there is no need to type correctly. That is what my secretary is for. Oh, I'm sorry, my "personal assistant"! Lol ;-) Waits* they should come in for the kill  10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.... I know. Right? |

I can understand...But,as a guy...I gotta point out something... How in the hell is a guy supposed to just automatically know that a woman don't wanna chat? Because you make this clear when he asks. And then he gets awkward. Believe me...I ain't saying this to be combative... People's version of "clear"...is a whole lot clearer in their heads than in actual reality. I do it...trying to drop hints in an inoffensive way so as to not hurt the feelings of the gal I got no interest in... In my head...what I mean is pretty clear. How my words are perceived...not so clear. It is just the nature of the beast when dealing with random social interaction. Let's face it...If we could get what we want,when we want it,exactly how we want it...we would just go order our lovers at a McDonald's drive thru. wait. what? mickey d's has lovers to go in how many flavors????  heeellll you couldn't stop my car...lol

I don't really understand why most men want to chat after exchanging 1 or 2 messages? So why do men so forcefully try to get a woman to chat with them? i'm no so crazy about your term "forceful" that sounds a bit creepy. i think it goes all the way back to the hunter/gatherer thing. chatting is easier and much more accurate means of getting to know someone. spontiaity shows far more personality then taking a while to compose and recompose a message and spell check etc. real time chatting has greater potential to see the true personality for both. its why we like sports and auto racing (sorry fellas its not a sport) we like things to happen quick and we're generally lazy besides i've always heard it said and my female friends agree that a woman knows in the first few minuets of meeting someone (real world) if she will ever be physical with a particular fella. doesn't that translate into txting v chatting? In a couple messages i can tell if a woman is interesting or just looking for a sugar daddy or a new daddy for her kids. We all have reservations and hopes. a quick fire open and honest exchange is more honest. and you can always hang up and block if a particular guy crosses any lines. maybe thats why i'm unattached ... i don't play games |

because they are a bunch of perverts lookta talk dirty like a buncha grade school homies or they are scammers take your pick me - I block & delete almost everything lol your over generalization is harsh, unfair, a way judgemental. obviously some guy or guys have done a number on you to give you the attitude that all guys are either perverts or scammers. believe it or not some guys are nice guys and just want to chat for the open honest unrehearsed exchange of ideas and personalities. i agree there are preditors and nutters out there and you should certainly be cautious; but, its only chatting .. keep your caution and wisdom as a high standard for any real world meetings. But chatting ... you can just say "f' off" and block the guy. Messages arn't enough to really get to know someone. exchanged messages with a woman for a couple months (on another site) and when we got around to chatting it came out all she wanted was help to move house and a guy to hire her the van for her. Should i judge all women by her? of course not! that would be terribly unfair to the women who think i'm just a pervert or scammer. by the way .. i'm neither .. |

I think it is a combination of things.
m Some guy trying to tell you they are dyslexic is more likely soe guy hopeing to run a sympathy scam or to get you to sex talk or maybe send sexy pictures they can sell or blackmail you with. I pretty much guarantee if they get you to buy into the typing disability the next thing is they want to read the braille on your bra. lol If they are hot to get your email or phone it is probably a scammer or someone that is more interested in stalking you since a phone number gives them basically a lot of info like where you live, what you drive, and if you are home or not if they want to rip you off. Chatting with in the program is more likely someone wanting to see if you are real and have half of a brain and can carry a conversation that is not scripted or edited. But guys who want to chat and chat and chat are just stuck in the attention of getting usually several women to pay attention to them and have no intention of ever taking it to a real life relationship. Some wives take the chatting on line as a break for themselves from the juvenile attention seeking behavior or complaining. |

The replies to this topic crack me up, the women seem to have one opinion, while the men have another, no surprise there, but what is surprising is that the mens responses seemed to be dismissed, even though the question is one about a man's behavior, sorry ladies no matter how much you think you know a man is going to understand another mans behavior better than any woman, I don't ask my guy friends to explain what my girlfriend may mean, I ask her lady friends because a woman will undetstand another woman better than any man
