I think like somebody was talking about earlier, the good is being bred out...leaving the viscous dogs....a lot of the dogs that are attacking and killing kids are ones that are chained up...a couple of states have passed or are going to pass laws on how long a dog can be tied, apparently there is studies that show animals that are tied day after day without any socialization can become dangerous...did you see in the news I think it was yesterday where the rapper DMX's house was raided and there was several pits found that were not being fed or watered..If you go and Google DMX there's a lot comes up from the Humane Society of the US..There's been other rappers fined for dog fighting, so maybe now there will be a stiffer penalty...

since the only way to keep them as pets is to domesticate them by socializing them. if you keep them chained up with no human contact they rely on the animal instict.

One of the dogs I have here was from the ranch & was going to the pound because they were killing animals..
like a slauter house.. goats & sheep... anything they could get to.
2 queensland healers & 3 big mutts. that got dumped up by there. newfoundland/ shep what ever Xs.
they even killed 2 pot belly pigs.
So now "Tanner" is here, never even looks at my chickens..
the others ended up killing a orphan pony we had bottle raised.
So the 2 went to the pound... Not my doing thou & it still makes me cry..

Yes if animals are not domesticated after birth...They are wild animals. I have a couple cats around my house that were hiding out the entire time since birth. They come out to eat at the food bowl but run like scared rabbits when they see me come. I tried coaxing but no luck so far. They are wild as any animal in the woods.
