I personally love the term "collateral damage." It turns the wrongful deaths of innocent people into something equivalent to a dented fender.

Kudos to Murder Incorporated's PR man for coming up with the term.

its just a term for unavoidable

life is more than a fender, but all life does end

more logical than funny, actually

same logic used by those who wish to deport all illegal immigrants, even those who have no way of consenting to cross (brought as children)

they would be 'collateral' damage to such a ruling....innocents caught in the political crossfire

not that their quality of life should be any less important than the millions of other immigrants who go through proper channels

but those with the authority to make those decisions for them, put them in that position

just as those with knowledge of their wanted status do to those they allow near and around them,,,while they are in that type of danger

what makes them similar is the criminals willingness to try to use them to become untouchable,,

May I ask?
What position would you rather hold?
A Barry dead baby or a live illegal back home?

I would rather that no child dies or becomes disenfranchised or taken frm their family

I understand that peoples actions put children in harms way and often with the intention of avoiding consequences to their own actions,,,

in those cases where 'will someone die?" is replaced by the question 'how many will die?' I hold the position of the least number of deaths,,,

"How many will die?"…That's a tough moral question that requires a moral answer by anyone with a moral conscience.

For instance, in the case of drone murders, do you act on your conscience?

There is an old saying I heard once about your country (that really should apply to citizens of EVERY country). It goes something like…

"My country, right or wrong;…" (a VERY powerful statement of patriotism)

I've noticed over the years that all too many people only remember that part of the entire expression, whose latter part is…

"…when right, to keep it right; when wrong to MAKE IT RIGHT."

I find it a beautiful expression of true patriotism and the moral duty thrust upon every patriot to do what it says for the sake of his nation.

Do you approve of your president's policy of murder by drone?…I hope not, but be that as it may, I'm sure there are many things you don't like about any given presidential administration, which might even include Obama's.

Do you make every effort to lobby, protest, petition or otherwise connect with your government to let it know of your moral outrage regarding a given issue?

If so, then I congratulate you on doing your duty as a citizen.

If not then I must make you aware that every silence you "utter" is interpreted by government as a "Yay team!…Keep right on doing whatever you please!", so I have to scold you for one or more of the following failings in your duty as a citizen:

1) apathy (choosing not to participate in the governance of your nation because you don't give a damn)
2) lack of moral conscience (the mark of a sociopathic personality that thinks of nothing but its own interests)
3) buck passing (letting your current dictator answer the "tough moral questions" (which dictate his "hard decisions") for you. This involves…
4) abrogating your moral responsibility (possibly because of)…
5) laziness (for which there is no excuse if one wishes to call oneself a patriotic citizen.)

I've observed that people (collectively) ALWAYS get the sort of government they deserve. In this sense, one might say the government is gotten by the democratic "vote" of the people and the majority dictates the rule. Failure in due diligence of the majority for one or more of the above reasons will ALWAYS get the people the sort of government they collectively deserve, and impose a heartless tyranny upon those who deserve better.

I sincerely hope you do not fall victim to ANY of the above moral failures, or I assure you that you will regret it, your children will regret it, and perhaps even you're grandchildren will regret it, as well as your friends, other relatives, your neighbours and your countrymen.

Don't let them all down.
