I don't know about you, but I had at least four choices for president on my ballot and you don't see me flipping out that Jill Stein didn't win

Thank you! Not voting for Obozo doesn't make anyone a racist, simply of a different opinion of what is best for them or the country.

Same with this issue! People don't like what we are forced to put up with and are protesting, and would probably had done the same if Robme was the chosen one.

Some need to make it about race, ignoring policy or conscience issues.

and agree, not 'voting' obama doesnt make anyone racist, and I dont recall that being s uggested anywhere in the thread

however the levels of HATRED seen for OBAMA can sometimes and often have something to do with racism,,,,,

This can be proven true by statistics and by simply listening. Remember the town halls in August of Obama's first year? He really hadn't done anything yet, but there was a crazy lady screaming that she wanted her country back. Back from what? From being dragged into the modern world? It has also been demonstrated that people who scream that they are protecting the Constitution, actually want to go back to the way things were in 1787. A country created and run by non-Xian free thinkers?

Hatred? Most people -- including myself -- I know don't like the direction of the country is going and has been going for a while now. But hate is too strong of a word.

Your man won....twice... regardless how many voted. That doesn't ring much of racism in my book. There are people who hate anything for any reason, they are absolutely NOT the majority, only a small few.

it only takes a 'small few' to create and sign petitions,, which brings the thread back to the point,,,

Do you think it's a secret that people are hateful?

Guess Barry will have to be happy with ruling congress, SCOTUS, and DC....

http://www.examiner.com/article/15-states-including-texas-have-filed-a-petition-to-secede-from-the-united-states-1

Christy and Bloomberg are kissing his a$$ to get taxpayer money to rebuild their states (I pity the people in them), but the Obozo FEMA is denying help from regular people because they can't tax, levy or debit non-profit donations from individuals....so they are NOT allowing them..... for health and safety reasons laugh

What a stupid notion. Without the protection of the federal government how long would it take before these states were taken over by Mexican drug cartels? Then they'd be begging Obama for help.

The gov't has few roles in which they are responsible for....

Promoting the general welfare (not talking entitlements here) as is the case with natural and manmade disasters, providing for the common defense (not offensive conflict and nation building), insure domestic tranquility defending the constitution and the rights of the people to life, liberty and the persuits of happiness.....all of which they are failing at badly!

Because of our entitlement system, our wars and policies which promote and support our police state, foreign aid, bailouts, out of control spending, there is NO money to do the job they are tasked with!

So, you think it would be better under the rule of Mexican drug lords?

Get a clue! The drug lords were created by ignoring our rights thru prohibition! If we had the right to pursue our freedoms of choice, there would be no profits to such people, therefore, no worry of such things!

Besides, ask California, it's an unwinnable war because the money rules under prohibition, and the menace is already there!

The CIA hates competition, they will keep that in check!

While I agree that the drug lords were created by the prohibition of drugs it's beside the point. They have become too powerful now. It would take an all out war to stop them.

If Texas (and the other states) left now they'd be goners within a few months.

Over 60% of registered voters DIDN'T vote because they didn't like either candidate offered and figured a 3rd party didn't stand a chance.

Wouldn't you think that might have a little something to do with this issue?

I think you might have got the numbers backward. The statistics I saw were that about 60% of eligible voters did vote.

so the states who didnt get their way want to take their ball and leave the playground?

interesting

hope the door doesnt split them,,,,,,,,,

This might already be clear to you by now, MsH, but these petitions are not from state governments, but from individuals. Kind of a feel-good thing, I guess, like a business's suggestion box.
