Humm sure it has changed me .... I do tend to hold back what I would like to say to some... I have meet several I call a friend as well as talk to many I would love to meet as friends.. I have seen a side of many that has changed the way I look at them. It has made me more aware of those that are online that are not trust worthy... And it was those within the Poetry Section that got me to writing and posting my poems which I never would have done. I don't write like I use too but I know I can post there and the responses always make me smile..... It has helped me see a side of people that I had not taken the time to see..I have realized that my life is good and I'm blessed with what I have and the ones around me. That right there is how you tell it hehe ;) I am still new here so its hard to tell yet. but it do make me happy sometimes, reading the forums. can really make me smil from time to time. som crasssy peeps in here, i like it |

IT has exposed me to more paranoia and conspiracy than I may otherwise observe. It has made it clear how prominent lazy thinking and poor reading comprehension are as well.
It has also given me some great laughs, and exposure to the rare and inspirational logical person (ty Igor) and the equally rare and inspirational positive person (ty Lu). |

Everything changes you.
We exist in a series of moments that are strung together so they flow like a fluid. Our awareness of that flow is what we call time. As we progress thru time we experience changes. Those changes also change us. Sometimes we don't recognize the change and sometimes we deny the change but change we do. I used to say "Nobody is going to change me". That was a delusion. I change all the time. Consider that the experiences you get on Mingle2, both good & bad, actually do change you. They will always change you, even if you try to deny it. When you meet someone, anyone, they change you and you change them. If you are in a relationship and refuse to acknowledge you are changing you are in a delusion. Changing is not good or bad, it just is. "Associations with other people builds wisdom through experience. Choosing the correct associations to increase your wisdom is smart. Knowing this is intelligence." ~ Me I am who I am because of changes. I like the person I am. Without me, I am nothing - literally. |

I have just joined, to me, its just yet another dating site I am using to try and find someone and yet will fail again.

It has shown me my ignorance of the world

It helped to make me more jaded, cynical, and distrustful of people I don't know in the real world. It helped to convince me that internet friendships tend to be ephemeral and LDR's are almost always a waste of time and money. Thank you Mingle! lol, I fight that influence tooth and nail. IT has opened my eyes to how common it is for people to grab onto misinfomation and spread it. |
