Another from my childhood- Beyond The Door. From 1974, one of several European Exorcist rip-offs...Several scenes in this scared the crap out of me when I saw it as a kid. In this movie, it's the mom that's possessed, and there's a scene where she does the head spin, but I think it's actually creepier than Regan's head spin.

Thanks for starting the post up for me Torgo! :D

One of my scariest movie moments would have to be from the film Nosferatu. I can't actually choose one, but there are so many moments:

1. The count rising from his coffin inside the ship
2. The count looking out of the window at the girl
3. The shadow of the count walking up the stairs

Still gives me the chills now!

The scene in Poltergeist when Robbie throws his blanket at the Clown doll sitting in the rocking chair and misses. After he rolls over, you hear the clown slinking away. He looks back towards the chair; no clown. He peeks under his bed; it attacks him.

Also the scene in Paranormal Activity 2 when the mom is in the kitchen and all the drawers and cupboards fly open.

That's the scariest scene in the movie for me. Still works.

When Vera Miles in Psycho (1960) turns the chair of Norman's mother around. Just saw this the other day and it still scares me.

For me it would have to be the moment when Simon first speaks in Mary's taped session, and when he first says "Hello Gordon". The movie is Session 9, we watched it in my 3rd college English class and it freaked me out. The actor who provides the voice for Simon is uncredited so it adds another level of freaky because you can't put a face to the voice.

I went and saw Aliens, the first one, when me and my friend were both messed up. What a freak out.

Salem's Lot, where the boy "floats" outside the window, that for me is the scariest movie scene I've ever watched. Have to say I have never watched The Exocerist, read the book though that was scary enough for me.

When I was a kid, Poltergeist scared the living hell out of me. Especially the clown and tree scenes.
