When I was a kid, Poltergeist scared the living hell out of me. Especially the clown and tree scenes.

That clown scene still scares me!

Phantasm scared me.

Phantasm is phantastic, one of my favorite horror films. Phantasm II is one of the best horror sequels I've seen. Part 3 and 4 were fun, even though 4 wasn't the classic that the original was, I loved that they brought the surrealism of the original back. I also thought it was brilliant how they used deleted footage from the original as flashback scenes.

The most recent movie to scare me was The Inkeepers, but not really a specific scene as the whole movie builds up the tension for me.

Good Thread!

I will go with :

The Nightmare on Elm St : Bed scene with the girl being dragged to the ceiling.

Planet Terror : When Rodriquez's son shot himself accidentally.

Skeleton Key : The twist at the end - "I don't believe..."

Dead Birds (2004) - The little boy under the bed.

Trilogy Of Terror (1975) - The segment with the Zuni fetish doll.

V/H/S (2012) - The segment 'Amateur Night' when the 3 guys take the seemingly innocent Lily back to the motel room. Never has the words "I like you." been so creepy.

The Blair Witch Project (1999) - The tent scene with the children's voices, and the ending scene at the house.
