So if the government wants to mandate all car owners need to buy an electric car they can. If you don't they can tax you the price of he car.
This decision was a joke.

well, they probably could have done that back when they mandated care owners purchase insurance

so far, hasnt happened, but it might if there can be research to show where electric cars are going to SAVE money and CREATE revenue,,,,

1. Behavior, like they tax purchases, or gasoline.
There are 2 kinds of taxes, direct and indirect. This falls under the direct tax catagory because it is paid to the govt. However, it is unlawful because not all are required to pay it!

2. Yes. From one of the flawless founding fathers. Living in america guarantees you have been born and you will pay taxes.

Letter from Benjamin Franklin to M. Le Roy (Nov. 13, 1789) (`Our new Constitution is now established . . . but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes’).”

WRONG! There was no personal income tax before 1913, there were levys and tarrifs. There was no IRS before 1913!

The US declared bankrupcy in 1933 and the govt sold "we the people" to the Federal Reserve Bank to cover its default on loans. It is about to happen again!

3. See #2 You bet! As long as our current form of govt exists

4. having a birthright makes you a citizen, it doesnt alleviate you of responsibilities AS A CITIZEN..

Wrong again! Since the US declared bankruptcy to the FED in 1933, we have had to "register" with the IRS to guarantee "our participation" of the loan! We have been fooled into thinking we are bound by Maritime Laws of Society, we are NOT. We are not members of the Society, and due to the fact that our rights are unalienable by birth, subject to Common Law. The myth of "LAW", and our binding to it, is the greatest lie ever told!

5. Someone who is truly a methhead or coke addict has far more pressing struggles than a tax...and living 'healthy' does not account for accidents, emergencies, or other occasions which cause us to need use of the health industry.

I agree, one should be responsible for their own actions, but govt and insurance companies have NO business in the equation!

6. Food IS Taxes already. Bottled water is taxed and water service has a tax as well. Homeowners pay a tax.

Agreed, not right, but I agree. Govt regulation has killed individual freedom, organic healthy foods and the right to market them, replacing them with GMOs and foods containing drugs, preservatives and other poisons creating many of the current health problems we have today.... who profits from this? Healthcare providers, corporations and insurance companies!

7. It depends upon what one considers a 'penalty' and what one considers a 'reward'. Everyone has the 'reward' of quality healthcare available to them DESPITE the ability to pay in most cases which is helping to drive COSTS up. Now everyone still has that availability while being compeled to play more of a part in CONTRIBUTING to its maintenance.

Wrong! The POTUS has just guaranteed that the price of healthcare will now go up, while the quality goes down to cover the required needs to facilitate it! You must now wait for approvals and clarifications before proceedures can be performed, even if they are life threatening!

8. Why should it? When have taxes, a once a year deal, had an influence on anyones daily choices?

Since laws were invented with loopholes and flaws, written by lawyers and laymen who have trouble understanding them themselves!

9. punctuation makes a heck of a difference I think the adage applies

If you want less of something (unhealthy behavior, like smoking and drinking), just tax it, and if you want more of something (healthy behavior like charity and education), just subsidize it.

Punctuation my a$$! Most charitable organizations are as corrupt as govt! Education has declined to the point of laughability since govt got involved! Quality has gone down, cost has gone up!

10. A whole LIST of them,,yes

None worse, but many fit the same suit. We are about to get more of the same because we allow it to continue by buying into a corrupt system of politics funded by corporations and their bankers allowed to only vote for the puppets they put forward to us!

1. Not all pay gasoline tax either. Not all people pay taxes because tthey are able to 'write off' other costs. This puts the write off before the tax

2. There is no specification of the TYPE of taxes and no mention of what department should handle it. There were taxes in Franklins time.

The Testimony of Benjamin Franklin in the British Parliament 1766 HistoryWiz Primary Source
Q. What is your name, and place of abode?

A. Franklin, of Philadelphia.

Q. Do the Americans pay any considerable taxes among themselves?

A. Certainly many, and very heavy taxes.

Q. What are the present taxes in Pennsylvania, laid by the laws of the
colony?

A. There are taxes on all estates, real and personal; a poll tax; a tax on
all offices, professions, trades, and businesses, according to their profits;
an excise on all wine, rum, and other spirit; and a duty of ten pounds per
head on all Negroes imported, with some other duties

3. nothing in life is truly free, except maybe love, most other things (particularly service, protection and products) requires money.

No government is not government and all government is not created equal...

Under the Constitution, powers reserved to the national government include:

Print money (bills and coins)
Declare war
Establish an army and navy
Enter into treaties with foreign governments
Regulate commerce between states and international trade
Establish post offices and issue postage
Make laws necessary to enforce the Constitution
Exclusive Powers of State Governments

Powers reserved to state governments include:

Establish local governments
Issue licenses (driver, hunting, marriage, etc.)
Regulate intrastate (within the state) commerce
Conduct elections
Ratify amendments to the U.S. Constitution
Provide for public health and safety
Exercise powers neither delegated to the national government or prohibited from the states by the U.S.
Constitution (For example, setting legal drinking and smoking ages.)
Powers Shared by National and State Government

Shared, or "concurrent" powers include:

Setting up courts
Creating and collecting taxes
Building highways
Borrowing money
Making and enforcing laws
Chartering banks and corporations
Spending money for the betterment of the general welfare
Taking (condemning) private property with just compensation

How do I make a contribution to the U.S. government?

Citizens who wish to make a general donation to the U.S. government may send contributions to a specific account called "Gifts to the United States." This account was established in 1843 to accept gifts, such as bequests, from individuals wishing to express their patriotism to the United States. Money deposited into this account is for general use by the federal government and can be available for budget needs. These contributions are considered an unconditional gift to the government. Financial gifts can be made by check or money order payable to the United States Treasury and mailed to the address below.

feds can issue taxes, just like states can compel insurance,,,,

Easy to feel that way when you are not paying taxes.

lol,,,yes, Im only a semi citizen since I dont earn the money to pay taxes on,,,lol

whatever I earn or dont earn, I Will feel the same way,, I am actually few people who actually have looked into contributing MORE to the government bypassing taxes

HERE for all those PATRIOTS so concerned about America with the balls to put their money where their mouth is

Doesn't make my statement untrue. It's easy for people that don't pay taxes to support taxes, especially if they are on the receiving end.

just as its easy for people to HAVE to feel those who dont arent 'entitled' to basics,,,

Just cuz the Gubament says folks are entitled to the Tax Payer supporting them, don't make it true.

Work, entitled to paycheck and to do with as you wish.
Don't work? Not entitled to Taxpayers sweat.

Simple plan

If they pay for it themselves then of course they do. Electricity, gas, etc are not basics either. We could save a lot of tax dollars not paying for those. I bet it wouldn't take long for them to find work either.
