Homophobes even boycott cookies now, because they support homosexuality.

Oreo put the following picture on their Facebook page and received a ton of comments by bigots who didn't agree.

Go to the URL above to see the comments.

PPL need to grow the F up! It makes me so mad that we still have such ignorant ppl in our society that get to say such hateful things about other ppl they have never met...

We should have evolved enough as a society to be accepting of every person.. Gay or otherwise......

The issue here pertains to morality.

If you are going to complain about homophobia, then please tell us what standard that you use to determine what is moral and what is immoral.

Someone's sexuality is not going to change how I act around them or treat them. If it does for you, that's your issue, not theirs.

If you take a look at the URL I provided, you'll see it has nothing to do with how Oreos taste.

That looks like an awesome cookie. Would probably send me into a sugar induced shock though.

Pretty sad though that people can be so openly bigoted in this day and age. Freedom of speech and freedom of belief is such a wonderful thing, and yet it is times like these and reading things like this that take some of the glory out of it. Plus they abused Oreos... there is a whole level of hell being created right now for Oreo abusers.

It is what it is....I would be stunned if ignorance and hatred ever went out of style.

Rail against it all you like. Idiots will remain. (they reproduce too quickly)

Personally, my favorite in-law....Uncle Beccy.
Some of my good and long time friends are Flamers, or Bi or just part time butt pirates. (I got a few straight friends too)

I couldn't careless who is getting naked with who...

As long as they're happy...GOOD for them.

None of the people who b!tch or whine about homosexuality are doing anything to make anyone happy or at least feel accepted. They just like to b!tch and whine.

Any time one person's morality standard conflicts with another person's morality standard, a dispute is likely to start.

Wow how depressing. You think people are finally getting what personal freedom is about then this.

And that the basic concept of seperation of church and state which our constitution is based on is beginning to exist and right back to square zero.

I don't get how anyone can call themselves American or even Christian spewing such hate. this is not a religion thread but I sure would like to see the people hear what a reconciling ministry does and does not condone.

Personal choice is just that; if you don't like what someone thinks or believes then yea you can boycott their product but to try an put an American Icon out of bussiness because they support personal choice just seems wrong for me.

And the bigotry and suggesting violence is just as terrifying today as it has always been.

Makes me wonder who they think is going to defend them when being in the minority already they have to bow down to other belief/value systems if others are allowed the same "privileges".

Over the years and all accross the USA I have seen a lot of Gay Pride material, demonstrations, and people speak and not once have I ever seen anyone say it was alright to use violence to justify getting something they believed accross. Or that they had to hate anyone for being "straight".

Let's take homosexuality as an example. Say you disagree with it. What good comes from blatant bigotry toward gay people, simply because you disagree with homosexuality?

A boycott is a form of speech. Are you opposed to free speech?

I'm not talking about boycotting. I'm fine with that. I'm talking about what people wrote. Go to the link I provided in the OP and read the nasty things people have said. Then please come back and let me know what good they have done by saying those things.

What good comes from blatant bigotry toward people with a particular morality standard, simply because you disagree with the standard?

Again, a boycott is a form of speech. You are complaining about people exercising freedom of speech.

I have not said that I support the boycott. I support the right to participate in a boycott as an exercise of free speech.
