What are you talking about? Nobody used any other translation but the KJV right now. But you can not take just one verse out of the rest and know what's it's meaning. Especially with it being a translation and the time frame it was originally written, the way they spoke, the culture, ect. You have use all the verses to understand one.

Cowboy...now you understand why it's a Jewish religion meant for the Jews

Cowboy...then learn Hebrew...why would you based your after-life on a book of mis-translations

What are you talking about?

So things written in spanish, history, science, ect is only knowledge for people that speak spanish?

Things written in Chineese, history, science, ect is only knowledge for people that speak Chineese?

And it's not a "religion" ment for anyone. It's not a "religion", it's the God honest truth. Just again, people whom choose not to believe place it in the "religion" category. God isn't about religion, God is about relationship. He wants a relationship with people, not a religion.

if medical books was mis-translated then wouldn't people be fools to rely on them ...why would the bible be any different

but anyway this all boils down to one question

THE QUESTION
do you believe the Hebrew Bible to be 100 percent accurate?

Cowboy...then learn Hebrew...why would you based your after-life on a book of mis-translations
Yep the bible is more Greek influence of the afterlife not Ancient hebrew traditions.

imagine trying to disfuse a bomb using the bible.....

ok first let's unhook the green wire....

but green doesn't mean the color green it might mean green with envy

ok then let's find the wire that appears to represent Jealousy

forget that....hand me that Jewish bible before we blow our apses into Heaven

different books different purposes

a million different analogies could be made, that wouldnt really dispute the usefulness or accuracy of a book

I doubt one would defuse a bomb using a cookbook either

or use a bomb manual to bake a cake

neither analogy really lessens the purpose of a manual or a cookbook though

The word "hate" has a very clear meaning.

yes the word "hate" does have a very clear meaning. But that does not mean there wasn't a closer word from the original language, just was "close".

Hate - to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion
Aversion - a strong feeling of dislike, opposition, repugnance, or antipathy (usually followed by to ): a strong aversion to snakes and spiders.

And again, with keeping the verse in context, Jesus was saying to put him first before the other's. If you're favorite color is say blue. You then hate all the other colors, you don't "like" them eg., dislike. Or you like them less then blue, thus again you hate the other colors in comparison to blue.

That is ridiculous Cowboy. Ridiculous. I would never have a strong dislike of my parents or hate them or abandon them for some cult. That is what cult leaders try to get young people to do. Typical cult tactics is to get young people to abandon and disown their parents and only be devoted and obedient to the cult leader.

I love all the colors by the way. I don't hate any of them even if I do have a favorite.

IFF Jesus ever said that, (if Jesus even existed) then he was forming a cult.

The problem with believers is that sometimes they think they should take everything in the Bible literally and that in order to be saved or be a good Christian or Muslim or Jew, they have to believe everything in their chosen "good book" as if it is true or to be taken literally.

Take it all with a grain of salt. Just be good people and live in peace and love.

Don't hate your parents.

And some add some tequila to that salt.

MsHarmony...concerning the bible and the term "bomb"... bomb isn't really a bomb...bomb in Hebrew means "false gospel"...

in a cookbook "bomb" isn't really a bomb...the Hebrew word for bomb is "falling cake" ...

that was just a sample of what you guys constantly do with the english bible ...everytime a word you do not like is there..then you try to change the meaning of the word by running to Satan's Dictionary or claim that the word means something else in Hebrew by running to one of those Satan websites

the passage clearly used the word "Hate" ...but Christian somehow "dyslexically" view it as the term for Love

perhaps this is what happens psychologically to people when they are commanded to love everyone...even their enemies...a form of "Stockholm Syndrome" and there is no longer a line of distinction between the concepts of love and hate

I love you so much that I hate you

well the bible contradicts itself just read how Luke and Matthew do it to each other taking a vesrse out of context is meaningless cause to many contradictions to even care. And the bible is kind of funny to comprehend it you must first find what denomination you feel comfortable with in their interpretation. So are you actually comprehending it then?
