Topic: Things you should be upfront about | |
---|---|
When getting to know someone and starting to date, what are things you think should be brought up? What should people be upfront about?
Well, first off they should be upfront about what they want and what they have to offer in a relationship.
What do you mean by what they have to offer in a relationship? Do they need to sell themselves to you in order to get a date? What kinds of things are you looking for when wanting to hear what they have to offer?

what their situation is, IE: in a relationship, wanting to get out of a relationship, married, single, divorced, separated... thats always nice to know...
Sure, we sell ourselves. That's pretty much what websites like this are all about, marketing ourselves. Aside from the obvious, I look for someone who shares the same morals and values as I do, one who shares a similar lifestyle, etc.

its kind of hard to define 'upfront',,
I Think relationships are a process, I certainly believe sometime BEFORE deep feelings develop or substantial time is invested,,,certain things should be shared to give the other a fair chance at an educated decision of how far to proceed things like,, gender confusion, sexual fetishes, sexual preferences, marital status, parental status, criminal status, and extra or missing body parts,,,,, |

As I am totally against someone taking away my choice as to whether or not I choose to get involved...I would want to know their:
Relationship status i.e. married or cohabiting Dependency issues - drug and/or alcohol Health (general, mental + sexual) issues - (HIV, Herpes, bipolar, cancer etc) Type of relationship he's looking for Orientation i.e. bi or bi curious |
