What is everyones opinions of the situation? I think it's BS he is being tried in the court of public opinion after a seasoned Homicide Investigator, Police Chief and Lead Prosecutor all said self defense.

Now the angry black community is trying to force charges on someone who may or not be innocent before the case is even closed.

I even figured Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson Sr. would be smack in the middle of this.

SYG law or no law, it's really the same problem. With the law people can say they acted in self defense, when they didn't, and not recieve charges. Without it people can say they acted in self defense, when they did, and still be charged. Either way, it needs to be in the hands of the investigators and procecutors, to press charges if they feel it's nessicary.

My opinion on the issue, Let it go to court and let them decide based on the evidence presented. I look at it all the same, I wasn't there, I don't have all the facts, and I am not all knowing. So really what I think doesn't matter.

I just don't like seeing people picking sides based on race, political affiliation, public opinion, or any other biased reason. If the media wasn't already biased and in it for the ratings and would present the cold hard facts without all the sensationalism and pushing the rascist angle, we might be able to form a better opinion of the situation. Sadly, we don't live in that era. It's all about entertainment these days, media and all.

Let it go to court is also my thoughts and I think before that can happen there has to be an arrest to start the process.

Unfortunately if it goes to court he wouldn't get a fair trial. Jackson and Sharpton made sure of that.

I believe he would get a just trial. Jurors would have to weigh the FACTS presented in court and match them to the requirements for the indictmen,,simple. People didnt think Casey Anthony could get a fair trial, but lo and behold because the FACTS presented didnt sustain the indictment requirements,,she is a free woman.

one never knows. Except in this case they have a body and a cause of death.

Unfortunately like I have said before he cant get a fair trial now. Sharpton and Jackson need to keep their noses out of things until the court proceedings are done.

I also think Zimmerman should sue Jackson and Sharpton for them trying to influence a jury pool and that's exactly what they are trying to do and what they always try to do. They have even stated it once or twice over the years.

we often make the mistake of believing the whole world, or maybe just the whole country, keeps the exact same habits and interests. There are many many people who dont read the paper or watch the news. There is no reason a fair juror pool cant be gathered.

With all the media convicting the guy, he won't get a fair trial.

Media should be accused of swaying a jury.

EVERYONE does not pay attention to the news.

If you askeed 20 random people about the case right now, plenty of them would say they 'heard about it', some of them would not and off those that heard about it, few would care or have read it for themself.

So being in a jury where they would get FACTS, would make it more than reasonable for them to be able to be FAIR in their ruling.

Give Zimmerman a medal.

It is against all state laws to attack a person walking on any street.

He is screwed. He has already been tried and convicted in the court of public opinion thanks to two of the biggest racists in America and the rest of the world, Jesse Jackson Senior and Al Sharpton.

To bad that's not what happened.

To bad most people on here only believe he is the victim and are only supporting him because of his skin color. I guarantee if he was caucasion all of the people on here defending him woudn't be.

I dont think thats necessarily true.

I think the kid at least TRIED to avoid a confrontation with the adult,,,,

first by changing directions

second by RUNNING AWAY

if the adult continued to pursue and confront the kid after that, I cant call the kid stupid for defending himself,,,
