Why is that many of our men and women in an online dating site are not truthful,sincere and openminded.why? in some shape form or fashion ....."everyone lies" noway..  I don't tell lies.  so your birth name is "joy4gud"? if it's not, then it's an example of how "Everyone Lies" if it is, then it's an example of how sometimes parents can be so cruel  wait a minute! My birth name is also Joy and iam here 4 gud... I was thinking when i type my user name... Ok!

I am Living proof that most people can't handle the truth.
I am what I am..... I don't pretend.......... I tell it as it is..... Because.........IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!! Some people take issue with.....Honesty. Especially Brutal Honesty. Most people don't have a clue how to deal with someone who is able to admit their flaws....... Be aware and in touch with them. Truth is......Most people would Rather be lied to.... Than hear .... You're Truth!!!! JMO based on my own Experience!!! |

Most people don't have a clue how to deal with someone who is able to admit their flaws....... Be aware and in touch with them. This is so true...I know who I am warts and all and it can/does make some people uncomfortable. |

Unfortunately, this is one of the pitfalls of online dating. Some misrepresent themselves hoping that you will 'fall' for them regardless of the lies...not realising they WILL be rejected them not because of who they are but because of the lies they told. Maybe I’m just cynical but it does amaze me that some people loose their common sense when it comes to online dating...take whatever is typed to you or said to you with a pinch of salt until you know differently. That doesn’t mean that you can’t ‘fall’ for someone that you met online someone it just means that until you meet face to face and spent some time with him/her, it’s not really real. It's not just online dating. It can happen anywhere. |

If she specifically told you that and it wasn't, then yes, it was a lie. If she didn't tell you it was her birth name when it wasn't, she didn't lie. |

If she specifically told you that and it wasn't, then yes, it was a lie. If she didn't tell you it was her birth name when it wasn't, she didn't lie. no need to specifically tell me..the user name is either the name presented on her birth certificate or it's not ...calling an altered name a User I.D. is an attempt at justification and/or a form of acceptable lying |

The Miranda and the Fifth Amendment comes to mind to me. Liability can be a big issue. I mean not being able to lie can put one at a disadvantage.

Granted a guy can just as easily lie in realife as he can online but in real life scenario's, if you've met him, he can't pretend to be a 6', musclebound Adonis as easily as he can hiding behind a computer screen or a telephone.
