These people are runnin over here to this country because their country is pathetic.Theres no social reform,the Mexican government doesn't give a crap about it's people.These people are coming here primarly for a better life,Kudos to the ones that do that.The problem is the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT.That country is mostly slums and the people are opressed and scared of the drug cartels.Hell the Mexican Government wants us to help them with the drug cartel problems.I know people are gonna be "Rob why are you typing just about the immigrants being mexican" come on any idiot knows it's primarly the mexican immigrants that seems to be the problem. The moral of the story is the US Government and Mexico need to work something out.Putting more pressure on our police force is only gonna lead to more immigrants getting nightsticked. Not so sure most really care if illegals get thumped.... Yes, I agree with you. This problem isn't going away and we need to take a different approach because what we've been doing..ISN'T WORKING, obviously. |

How is our border still not 100% secure? Get the Mexican cartel drug dealers out of my country. They are the real terrorists. Good morning face  Sorry Don, I don't think most do care about the well being of others and I don't think innocent people being beat up by cops is a lesser problem. It is a big problem. We have police beating the crap out of protesters and from what I have seen and heard..MANY encourage this because they believe the protesters to be trash. Even though they are out there fighting for ALL of us... ....we are NOT a very compassionate nation, not any more. I care, maybe you care. I don't think most people care. I am fully engaged in fighting my corrupt government/congress... Mexicans coming here takes a backseat. |

If we just stay human things will work out as they should. That is all that is required really..staying Human and applying common sense. Quite a few people have strayed from their human side, that is if they ever had one to begin with. |

Every country including Ireland turns on the foreigners when it hurts in their pockets. Everyone turns a blind eye when things are good. Look above you folks...not below... The people you are dissing are worse off than you and just because you cannot be one of the 1% do not take it out on those that are less well off. This is true. This has been going on for eons and the last few years that 'we' are in a money pinch, all of a sudden 'we' care. Nobody cared when the illegals were here picking the oranges and apples for 5 bucks less an hour than 'us'. Money is tight..hmmmm who can we get rid of now?!?! Greed, it's all about greed. If not the 1% then our own. Do you understand how big the wheel is, how complicated?...It takes time to turn....And PS...I have cared about illegal entry for as long as I can remember...probably longer than you have lived....It is NOT about the money...How many recessions have you lived through, how many depressions? Thank you for assuming I'm so young.... I have cared about the well being of my fellow humans as far back as I can remember. I didn't assume, twelve years younger is young to me... So you were concerned about immigration when you were 12? I was concerned about my fellow humans when I was 12. The beauty of uniqueness ....Yes, at 12 I was made aware...my parents talked politics at the dinner table....every night  : ....like the sponges all children are, my siblings and I soaked it up.... Yes, I remember the dinner time conversations myself. I only soaked up what resonated with me, even at the tender age of 12 I knew people were more important than the politics. The problem with your response to me is that it seems to come without aforethought...when did I ever say I feel politics precede people in level of importance ?...Are you saying I cannot care about people if I am interested in politics? I can't say how you feel about anything, I can only go by what you post. All of your posts have been about the rules, the laws, the politics... The topic IS about the complications illegals create in my country, not humanitarian responsibilities to the needy!.... As I said..the complications from illegals were not any concern until the deficit became such an issue. Not everyone is aware at 12. Honestly, NO ONE else cared before. Allowing the corrupt cops to detain drivers (if they happen to not have proof of citizenship) rough them up, impound their cars, take their children into protective custody... the concerns over illegals crosses over into humanitarian concerns. The 2 issues can not be separated. If we only look at the legal implications we neglect the human side. I do not agree with you, concern about the problems of illegal immigration did not begin with the latest recession.... All "cops" are not corrupt.... If proper paperwork can be presented, as with a drivers license or proof of auto insurance, unless the person stopped is breaking another law, these things you state will not happen... Lastly, the two issues can be separated for several specific reasons, specific circumstances....What you say would lead one to believe that you feel no one should be questioned for any reason because they are human beings...This is beyond comprehension...We must deal with the problems of illegal immigration for a myriad of reasons...Money is only one of those reasons and it does not head the list... I think we need to quit talking extremes, use some common sense & find middle gtound. Sure there are BAD law enforcement people. Sure there are bad protestors. We can argue/debate till the cows come home. NO ONE IS TOTALLY RIGHT or WRONG. I look at the facts & history. Want to really do something about change, get involved for real, not just bellyaching. VOTE the people in office OUT. Make the politician's accountable for their actions, take away their pensions, take away their LEGAL insider trading, PUT real responsible people in office for 1 or 2 terms & that is all. NO MORE PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS. Do things that REALLY COUNT.
THESE are a FEW of the things WE NEED to do, to bring change to this country. Be part of REAL CHANGE or just bellyache. ACTIONS speak louder than words. More of MY face. |

The traffic stop program, IMO, is a great initiative.
Along with really securing our borders, hefty fines to those who transport, aid/abet, rent to or give jobs to Illegals. All those would help discourage ILLEGAL activities and discourage Illegal entry. |

I think there is no nation in the world that completely avoids recruiting any overzealous, pompous, or fearful recruits who overreact or abuse their authority,,,,,, another part of us all being human (Cause being human isnt ALL love and peace....) and FLAWED and in those cases, I hope those officers are dealt with according to law and common sense,,, I cannot run with that view entirely, yes we as humans are flawed in many ways but there is something drastically wrong when one human being inflicts physical damage on another human being. Especially when the recipient is merely expressing a right to protest peacefully. Big Questions have to be asked. |

I just believe when both people are human, that should be the factor considered over what their 'position' might be anything that citizens are capable of doing to each other we should EXPECT those in authority (who are also citizens themself) to be capable of also and all citizens, regardless of their occupation, should be held accountable for actions that harm others illegally,,, |
