Well they lied. It does get worse.

Rick's only sibling, Melanie, died today, she was 39.

I know I probably should not be here posting this, but I have no where to turn. I feel like I have lost all sense of reality.

Please pray for her 3 children, husband and mom.

Wow so sad she was so young...Prayers being sent for friends & family to find the strength that is needed to make it through this trying time.

I am really angry right now. This is just unfathomable. I cant even begin to wrap my mind around this tragedy.

This was the begining of a new year. Things were suppose to be getting better. What the hell is going on? I just don't get it.

Ya never really get over it......I lost my two children back in the 90's
And i am still trying to deal with it!!!!!!!!!!! My sympathy's are with ya!!!!! You will have a lot of lonely Holidays to look forward too.......................Sorry

I am so sorry to hear this. You have every right to be angry and upset. No one has the answers you are looking for, but we are all here for you and I will be keeping you and all of them in my thoughts and prayers.

People who say such lame things do not live in reality. Things can always get worse MUCH WORSE. However, I do not believe that makes anyone's pain or loss any less significant. What Rick is going through is devastating. My sister is a screw up and I do not talk to her. My brother and I were extremely close. He was an amazing person and my guardian and protector from birth. There is a bond between a brother and sister that is different and hard to describe to someone not in that situation. Even a younger brother will have a panther like sense of responsibility and protection over his sister. As the sister, this is often an anchor in life and you know you have him to hide behind so the shrapnel's impact in life doesn't hit you full force, etc. And when you lose a brother, it's extremely hard. And when a guy loses a sister, I think it's almost worse. They feel they wish there was something they could have done to protect her. That they would have taken her fate as their own and sacrificed themselves so she could live. It's devastating to guys. All I can say is that while I don't know what Rick is going though, I hope he can find something in the world that gives him a tiny bit of peace so he can make it though.

There is no way to measure what will happen within one's life....We have to learn to deal with the sorrow and rejoice when there is happiness...

No matter what road life takes us down. In the end it all depends on how we learn to deal with the hard knocks life gives us....

I understand your heartache but regardless what happens one must not let death stop what life is left to live...

I want to say thank you to everyone that wrote me emails. Thank you for letting me vent, cry, rant and crab. Thank you most, for the laughter from the one special person that kept me company all day yesterday. Thank you for everyone's kind, caring words and encouragement.
