On October 17th 2006 the Military Commissions Act of 2006 was signed into law by George W. Bush. Still very much in effect today, that law confirmed the legal use of torture, gutted the centuries-old right of Habeas Corpus (the right to know why one has been imprisoned) and made a legally designated target of anyone the U.S. government decides to declare an “enemy combatant”.

Just over five years later, on December 31st 2011, the United States Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012. This act effectively places domestic terror investigations into the hands of the U.S. military and allows for the trail-free, indefinite detention of both U.S. and foreign citizens, either on or outside U.S. territory, whom the government considers to be “terrorists”. The definition of what a “terrorist” is and which specific actions actually comprise ”terrorist activity”, is left completely open for the U.S. government to define and decide at its own discretion.

Whereas the Military Commissions Act of 2006 merely reduced America to nothing less than a fascist state, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 reduces America even further to the new level of a militarized fascist state.

In 2006 they took all your rights and freedoms away from you. In 2011 the Senate mandated the U.S. military with the power to ensure that it actually happens. This will, most assuredly, take place with the “military precision” and obedient “blindness” that characterizes all military institutions.

Between 2006 and today, America was not able to liberate itself from the terrible blanket that has suffocated all that the country once tried to stand for. From a historical standpoint, it can only be expected that at some point America will have to be liberated from the outside, by those in this world, who still do believe in democracy, liberty and justice.

On America’s headstone will then be inscribed: “The Dream Died in the Apathy of Indifference”.

Better not have more than 7 days of food or you could be considered a terrorist.

Then, BB must be about to incarcerate the majority of Mormons. They subscribe to storing enough for a year.

Mennonites can and store food also.

Really, they could start with hauling off most of Congress.

Oh you poor under-informed person. Notice I stated "under-informed" instead of "Ill-informed).
Higher education (used loosely as it would encompass from jr. High right straight thru to graduate if not higher yet) never elaborated on things like "Marshall Law" what it actually covered who: could, would and finally did call for it's engagement, enforcement, for how long it would actually be the (little realized) "Law of the Land".
Do yourself a big favor and research that out, "Lincoln" called it up for enforcement, and todate it hasn't be revoked. Seems for some reason or other this nation has been at war (war on poverty, drugs, Vietnam Nam, Korea, WWII, WWII...the wars go on so it remains in effect or still enforced...just not to it's full intent...imagine that).
Next research a little known ditty named "New States Constitution": who sponsored the reasearch, writings of, when it was finalized, why on such a period, what it entails and why it was thought up to begin with...then think about why we should now fear that document...should anyone believe we the people have or had any rights...better rethink that again.
Government claims we need teachers...maybe...what we actually need are teachers that teach truth not fiction and cover ups.
Amazing isn't it that people accept as truth what they hear or read from supposed educated (whom are quite often just followers of a self perpetuating imbecile who has proclaimed them-self an expert.)
So whose fault is all this? Be it Those who teach and spew such as fact, or the masses for what ever reason, either fail to challenge such facts by actually rolling up the shirt sleeves and research things back to their roots.
I'll venture to say, most who read what I have penned will NOT research any of it, just retreat to the sanctity Of their previously obtained knowledge...after-all that is the easy way out.

I smiled today because I was off with pay. I smiled at the restaraunt when the waitress brought my my beer with a lime and I smiled at My GF as we were eating dinner.

I shoveled my driveway and my neighbores since he had to work today and I was off, he smiled at me when his drive way was shoveled clean I owed him a favor.

What gives me gloom are these folks who say america love it or leave it while every freedom we once enjoyed and made us the envy of the world is being systamticly taken away.

You can post as many bannanas as you wish but its simply absurd that anyone can be light hearted about these changes to our verry way of life.

thanx, I tend to enjoy smiles and a balance of thankfulness and panic,,,lol

Im mostly thankful,

and our 'very way of life' has always been changing so such changes dont tend to send me into a smile incapable panic,,,

as stated before, that the middle class may disappear and people will be less able to earn a living for their family scares me

that the military has certain authority to deal with war and enemies and all the nasty stuff average citizens like me have the privilege of not worrying much about in our daily lives

doesnt scare me quite so much
