I love and am loved by my kid’s, my family and my friends. To love and be in love with that special someone would be nice but it is not essential

My dog loves me. Especially when she got the new bed. So nice to have my own bed back. No dog or cat to try to coax out of the way. I mean I am willing to share. But it is like once they get rooted there they can't take a hint. I mean after all theoretically it was my bed to begin with. Trying to get covers over me was like pulling teeth.

Ya know, it's funny. The people who actually say the words "I need trust" most often have severe trust issues I find.

People ask what "my type" is. I don't have a usual that you can perceive outwardly. The ones I keep have integrity, honesty, decency and honor. Some really poor not so great looking guys have that and some really gorgeous rich guys do not.

I think it's redundant to say "I need love AND trust" as to me trust is implied if you "love" a person.

And I know like "Terri ends up with people who are losers in life but of high moral fiber".

When in reality, if you let go of the looking for the physical, and look for the measure of the person in character, you end up with some pretty freaking accomplished people and some of them happen to be very good looking.

Good looking and accomplished types want people to appreciate more than that and notice if you that "Hey this guy who is an ex model and an underwear welder but what's impressive is he donates blood and volunteers at a homeless shelter". It attracts a much more balanced person.

Also if he is an amazing athlete or something so he's hot, he could very well get injured or become ill ending his career but personality is forever.

I worked for a company with a racing team. I was friends with some of them. One of them I was friends with was a world renown athlete, he had a heart defect no one knew about. In the middle of a race, he went down. My friend, Keith, who is his manager ran to his side. He almost died. He had just married this sweet little thing prior and wanted to start a family. SHE DUMPED HIM IN THE HOSPITAL when she learned he would probably never race again. He divorced her heart broken. THEN he went on to do physical therapy, etc. and was at the top of his game again. He had a full career. He was gorgeous and made a boat load of cash. We were friends because I didn't care about that. I was good friends with his manager, Keith, who had been one of the most elite at his sport. He and I bonded over the fact that I refused to trap my then boyfriend into having a baby like some of my friends did as that is why he married his wife. As a decent guy when she purposely go pregnant with daughter, despite the fact he was not crazy about the fact she lied to him about birth control, he married her for the sake of his daughter and was faithful to his wife.

So really to me TRUST is an essential part of LOVE. Not just for women BUT ESPECIALLY FOR MEN. Just as much as we don't want to be betrayed, THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE USED WORSE. If a woman gets betrayed by a man, though she is heartbroken, he is often a cad in the eyes of other people. When a guy gets betrayed by a woman, very often, people take the attitude of "HE'S A MAN. HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. LIVE AND LEARN".
