Whatever you do, don't get all nervous and say something like, "I lick you a lot."

Epic fail every time. Well, maybe not every time, but you get the picture.

"How are you" is a conversation killer...

Either they say "fine" and end it or they tell you at great length why they are NOT fine (in which case you should hope the conversation dies.)

Try another approach.

I think patience is good sometimes... There maybe the occasional instance when an individual may not be able to answer straight away, such as dodgy internet connections due to weather etc.
As well, I think I agree with the above comments about reading profiles and taking an interest is an awesome way to say Hi :-)

I use humor to cover my shyness. (yes...stop laughing...I AM!!)
I find humor to be a good ice breaker.

I am basically a good guy who wants to make new friends. But when ever i start a conversation, girls disconnect just after i say how r u? Is that wrong?
How to start a conversation and take it forwards? Any ideas guys?

basically girls are afraid of goodness of guys.

If your intention is to make friends, then I guess gender shall not be a criteria.

Air bubbles in fuel line makes vehicle movement jerky & scary.

Hmm...another approach shall be...

"How am I looking today?"

"Are you alright?"

"Why did u wear this dress?"

& something like that

Asking how you're looking may make it seem as though you're fishing for compliments.

Asking if they're alright may seem like you think something is wrong.

Questioning why they wore something may send the message that you don't like what they're wearing.
