there is very little there that americans dont still have the CHOICE to do if they wish to,,,,,

Not true.

Its hard to buy products without those damn child proof lids. I hate them.

If you have kids today, try telling them to play outside and get off the computer.

Try telling a mom that her kids don't each need a cell phone.

They are trying to pass laws about vaccinations, seat belts, etc... oh .. damn, they already have!

You have to have a permit for everything.

You are libel to get sued for anything.

God forbid your child falls down and gets hurt, you will end up at the police station defending your parenting skills.

NOT THE SAME WORLD.

and IM glad it isnt the 'same', for reasons previously stated

child proof lids are an inconvenience, not a sacrificed 'freedom'

I tell my kids to go out and play, no law says I Cant
I tell them they dont need a cell phone, no law says they must have one

the roads are more and more congested with faster and flimsier cars, I dont have any issue with the safety measures that have been caused by those changes

I have never been sued, my kids have fallen plenty, and the only permit I ever needed was to drive a vehicle on public roads ( a privilege and not a right)

I agree that times are changing and change is inevitable with time, I dont agree that most of those changes are due to some direct government mandate,,,,,

at least you are honest jeannieflowerforyou

I fear nothing and noone really, life happens and some will be good and some will be bad and noone and nothing will be perfect. I appreciate all the things that I know could be worse and they still outlist those which could be better.....

To say that you fear nothing can't be the truth when you approve of certain things being done in the name of "national security." Apparently you are afraid of something.

Any time you make a decision based on fear... then you can't say that you are not afraid.

there are things ID rather not see happen, perhaps that is a type of fear

the fear I am speaking of is the kind that interrupts or disrupts my thought process or my ability to enjoy life,,,

Problem is the government uses the fear of what could happen to justify inhibiting our lives in the way you speak of in the 2nd part of that statement. You may not think your life is changed, but it still is being changed.

Really? How is your life affected by this? I don't wanna hear talking points but real circumstances that has happened to you.

Ok I'll give you one, I had to spend an extra $30 or so to get a snowglobe shipped home on an airline cause I couldn't bring it on the plane cause of the liquid. It was stupid, and it made getting home a pain in my butt. There's one example. We're not as free as we think we are no matter how much we delude ourselves that we are.

You got the snow globe right? Well if you wern't free you wouldn't have gotten it at all. I'd rather have to pay an extra $30.00 here or there then have a plane go up my a$$.

That's not the point, it made it a pain in the *** to get home. Maybe you wanna pay up the *** for ****, but I'd rather not.

You are a perfect posterchild for the American sheep Lpdon, they tell you to jump you don't even ask how high, you just do it. It's people like you that give them their power cause you don't even try and fight for your own. When the day comes that you have none left, and it is coming fast, you had better not complain to me about it, because you'll have did it to yourself. I'm about done.

its just extreme to fear a lack of freedom because one has to pay to transport something from one place to another

I think its more a case of extreme entitlement syndrome causing people to see any inconvenience or extra effort required as an attack on their freedoms,,,

at least you can transport the globe, which is far from not having freedom, I wonder if the complaint would stand or seem as reasonable if it had been transported free of charge....

we arent entitled to a seat on a plane, we arent entitled to take anything on a plane but ourself(if we pay for a seat),

thats why we pay for it, and airlines can decide under what conditions they want to take passengers and with what risks, noone forces us to fly,,,,

You know I could tell you anything I wanted here, but it's clear to me it's just gonna go over your head. There's no point in even trying, you won't see it till you're ready if you ever do. I'm done with this, think what you want.

In the pre trial preliminary hearing to court martial Private Bradley Manning, prosecutors rested yesterday and defense begins today...It it not known what exactly defense will present, however, yesterday they steered testimony to three things, Bradley's "troubled" state of mind LOL!, military computer security ineptness LOL!, and other soldiers who COUD have played a part LOL, LOL!!...When in doubt, blame it on someone else....
Prosecution presented clear evidence that Manning downloaded nearly a half million sensitive battlefield reports from Iraq and Afghanistan, hundreds of thousands of diplomatic cables, and the now famous helicopter vid from 2007 that Assange dubbed "Collateral Murder" when he published it on WikkiLeaks..Government is bringing 22 charges against Manning in the court-martial case, one of which is aiding the enemy and carries a life sentence.....See ya Manning....

You really should watch this video if you want to know what is at stake as far as freedom is concerned. Our congress has trashed the 4th amendment.

WARNING>>>> This vid has some rather "harsh" language in it, but I know I couldn't say it any better without the same imphasis..... just be warned

People should tell THE TRUTH.

Governments should be honest about what they are doing with our tax money.

Governments should stop covering up for their criminal illegal acts.

Governments are basically crime syndicates today. They pass laws to protect themselves and their crimes.

They PERSECUTE people who tell the truth.

THEY PERSECUTE people who expose their crimes!!!

I have no problem with him using the four letter words. They get the point across quite nicely. When you are talking about a sinister plot to enslave the whole world/nation you need to get your point across.

Its no time for political correctness when politics are corrupt and evil.

Don't knock the teens and tweens. They are the people who will be changing your diapers and feeling the brunt of these illegal laws when the evil bastards take control of the world and start rounding up anyone who opposes them.

Instead of worrying about your grandson picking up "bad habits" like cursing, you should worry about him being kidnapped and taken away to who knows where if he ever speaks out against those in power.

How was I knocking them? I have nothing but respect for their intelligence level(s)...their language on the other hand could use some improvement....

Yeh, that seems strange. Very strange.

Mercy me, my grandson might use a four letter word.

How awful.

Forget that people are going missing everywhere you look.

I don't. Perhaps you worry about everything.

But four letter words pale by comparison.

Should we teach our children and grand children to be polite obedient slaves then?
