Bradley Manning chose to uphold the orders of the Constitution of the United states I sure hope MORE military does the same when they are told to turn their rifles towards their fellow citizens... would THEY be considered traitors if they refused to follow orders, I think not. No one in the military is bound to follow what they deem as an unlawful order.. Why are so many pissed of about this then? Who is pissed off? The people that want him in jail or the people that want to give him a medal? well..alot of people are just pissed in general. If he isn't bound to cover up unlawfulness, why do people want to see him in jail? I'm serious, I'm trying to understand it. The people who are reacting with visceral hatred for Manning is, are my experience, rooted in irrational emotional appeals. I am sure that is true, but I have personal experience in this and based on what I know, him being prosecuted is no different than if I released detailed information on what I did when I was in the USAF. |

Thousands of them.. That release is in violation of the agreement you make when you get a security clearance and anyone that has had one knows they are serious when they tell you that you will go to jail if you disclose anything.. Its no joke.. |

Once you realize that the people you signed an agreement with are liars, and war criminals why then would you worry about breaking your "agreement" with them? Except for selfish reasons of course. Think of Hitler. If a person within his army realized that he was committing war crimes and slaughtering people and released that information to the people of Germany, is he a bad guy or a hero? Well, to Hitler, he is in violation and he is an enemy. But is he wrong? I don't think so. We are talking about morals here, not regulations, rules, etc. We are talking about doing what you feel is RIGHT. HUMANITY. BE HUMAN. |

The officers that made up the Valkyrie plot were just trying to save their own a$$es. The war was lost and they knew it..They were angling for political offices and power after the war was over and this was their way to do it.. They are all canonized as heroes when all they really were was Johnny come lately. They didn't give a **** about what was going on in the camps or anywhere else.. |

We Americans are so dumbed down and stupified and brain washed that we moronicly and patriotically support the worst enemies of mankind (the US military industrial complex. We are totaly brainwashed by a corperate media that greedily is only seeking to preserve its piece of 1% pie. |

InvictusV Oh but it IS very simple invitusV. People should do what they feel is right. I did not refer to or mention any "Valkyrie plot." I was speaking hypothetically of any normal person within the Hitler government or any government or country who may have discovered that what was being done or going on was wrong, and objected to it or went against it. If you know the truth and you help to hide it, you are part of the problem. If your brother was a serial killer would you help cover up his crimes? Some things simply go against a person's moral fiber. If you discover you are in league with the devil do you remain a loyal slave to the devil and continue to do his work if you believe it to be wrong? |
