S1owhand, I have told you that I appose political movement called Zionism and that Zionism does NOT represent all Jews and yet you continue to completely ignore these statements and just rattle off a bunch of canned Zionist propaganda. You have argued that "Jews" are not a "race" and yet now you are lumping all Jews together as a race and comparing them to Blacks. Everyone knows that there are Jews with completely different genetic and ethnic backgrounds and they even discriminate against each other. Guess what? They even kill each other!! They are no different than anyone else. No surprize. There are both good and evil Jews. There are clearly anti-Zionist religious Jews and you refuse to listen or acknowledge that fact. There are even Jewish citizens living in Israel who are aware that their leadership and their government is corrupt, even evil. Jews for Jesus in Israel are treated as second class citizens. It is stupid to attempt to portray all Jews as good or bad, but that is what you are trying to suggest by lumping them all together. Jews, like anyone else, are individuals. Some good, some bad just like the rest of us. I would hate the world to judge all Americans because of our own corrupt leaders. Jews are decent good people and and yet there are vicious Zionists criminals who claim to be Jews and they are the worst enemy of the Jews because they try to claim that they are "innocent poor persecuted Jews" who are only defending themselves and only occupying Israel because they need a "safe haven" to live. Now you see everyone of their neighbours does have the aim to destroy Israel. Rockets were launched from Lebanon into Israel yesterday, and from Gaza. Iran wants to destroy Israel. Egyptians are also crying for Israel's destruction. You do not seem to get this 1967 Egypt massing on Israel's borders. They were not massing on the border hoping to be invited round for tea - they were on the brink within a few hours of attacking, and you still feel Israel should have waited until Egypt was in Israeli territory before retaliating. No matter how many links of proof I and others give you you deny it because you simply don't want to believe it. |

If you live in a bad neighborhood where people are armed, you don't go across the street into their homes and kill people just because they have weapons and you are afraid they might use them on you.
That is NOT defense. And you certainly don't take control of their land and their homes and move in. That might happen in a primitive chaotic anarchy but it should not happen in a civilized world. |

It sounds like the war was well planned and well practiced and that the agenda was not defense but the control of Jordan. In reading over it quickly, the first impression is that the Egyptians were defending themselves against an attack from Israel. The Egyptians had constructed fortified defenses in the Sinai. These designs were based on the assumption that an attack would come along the few roads leading through the desert, rather than through the difficult desert terrain. The Israelis chose not to risk attacking the Egyptian defenses head-on, and instead surprised them from an unexpected direction. They had practiced driving vehicles through soft dunes in the Negev, and discovered that vehicles would get greater maneuverability in desert terrain if tires were partially deflated. As a result, they could choose their angle of attack, and advance through areas the Egyptians least expected. Israel sent in spies well in advance of the attack, long enough for trees to grow... In order to strike the Golan Heights, the Mossad (Israeli secret service) had sent agent Eli Cohen to infiltrate the Syrian government, where he exploited his high-ranking position to provide crucial intelligence. Remember, Israel is tiny and the surrounding nations had absolutely no idea they would be defeated which is why they boasted so much that Israel would very quickly be defeated. Their "access to nuclear weapons" has not been confirmed, but if Israel has nuclear weapons then it is as a deterrent, certainly a good deterrent to stop Iran striking into Israel. Seriously? You're welcome. Wiki is good for facts. And as to your comments, when Israel was on the brink of anialation I consider they used their brains in this war. Remember, Israel is tiny and the surrounding nations had absolutely no idea they would be defeated which is why they boasted so much that Israel would very quickly be defeated. Some would call it good warfare on Israel's part and I would call it a miracle to win a war like that in six days. If they are smart then why do they use the excuse (lie) that attacking the USS Liberty was a "mistake?" I believe they are smart, and that they don't make stupid mistakes. I don't believe they were ever on the brink of annihilation. That is propaganda. The size of a country speaks nothing about their access to nuclear weapons and their outside support from America. No, they are not "tiny.." They could easily annihilate their neighbors with nuclear weapons. I think the surrounding nations boast because they are not so smart and they have their own national pride and propaganda going on. I think both sides were preparing for a war. I doubt if there was anything anyone could do to stop it. Everyone wants control of the holy land and the temple mount. All because of the mythical stories in the Bible. It is such a shame. I see no reason to suspect otherwise. Not all Islam is "radical." But if they had nuclear weapons, they would probably use them given that they are fighting with Israel and are massively out gunned and out maneuvered. I think all of the crazy zealots who are following an Abrahamic religion would like to "take over the world" and convert everyone to their beliefs. They have been doing it for hundreds of years. The core of all world conflict always seems to be grounded in religion and the mythical Bible, including the silly idea that Jews are God's chosen people. I just don't believe any of the Bible has any truth to it whatsoever. |
