I'm just wondering why every guy I talk to suggests that they like to cuddle? WTH? I just don't get it. So do you guys really like to cuddle or is it something you say cuz thats what women wanna hear or WHAT??? A child cuddles a teddy bear, we cuddle kittens, we cuddled with Mom & Dad when we were like 4. Maybe I dont understand the concept.

i believe men like to cuddle more than women do.
most just don't admit it.

NEWSFLASH most of the guys I know like to cuddle. Its very intimate, yet there is no "performance" pressure. And you get to feel the others heartbeat and body against yours. Its geat as a lead in to sex. Its not a line with all of them., I;m sure with a few.

I think alot may mention it because women like that. But some just may like the closeness it provides

I see a lot of men talking about cuddling in their profiles. I always thought that was kind of odd. I'm guessing it's because they think that's what women want to hear.

And while I enjoy cuddling and am happy to know many men do as well, I don't really see why it's talked about in profiles.

I don't get what it is that you don't get.

I love cuddling! I like the warmth, the touch, the opportunity to express affection. There is a subtle communication that happens with your movements. If napping or resting, I like the soothing rhythms of breath, and sometimes heartbeat.

Umm..... not all guys are the same. Some hate cuddling and won't do it. Others don't like it, but might lie and say they do, and follow through just to get closer to sex.

Others really enjoy it.

Touch is important to many people. I agree with massagetrade, there is subtle communication that happens without words. I love it too! So much in fact that I couldn't be with someone for whom touch wasn't a vital part of our experience together.

Men and women are not so different. Human is human ...

I do not mind touching, feeling, stroking, sensuality through touch...thats not my definition of cuddling. Cuddling is having someone all up on you, almost in a suffocating embrace. Ok well, we just wont call it cuddling then. I hate that damned term. Yeah, I'll feel all over ya...very sensual and passionate...but I'll pass on the "cuddling". As for dogs chasing after cats...I'm one cat that puppy might turn tail and run from ;)

You perception of cuddling I think is deifferent from most of us. To me cuddling can be comforting, sensual, relaxing and very intimate. Suffocating NEVER. I wonder what happened to you during cuddling to think of it that way..
Or maybe your not a really touchy person, I have a friend who is not super "touchy" and doesn't like to be held in any way. She finds it incredibly stifling.

Cool, cause I don't think that's anyone's definition - I think we are saying we like cuddling partly because it is touch in which all of that might be optional - it could flow from cuddling naturally, or we could just relax with the cuddling and still have touch-communication. We like that kind of touch you describe, and we also like just lying close and holding each other.



Maybe they are doing it wrong? Or maybe what they experience as warmth and vulnerability you experience as neediness?

What about after sex, do you like lie against or on top of him at all?

No...I don't like "cuddling". Warmth, touch, kissing, embracing, tasting the salt of your lovers skin, feeling the pulse race, the breath fall and rise...this isnt cuddling! Maybe its my foreign disposition. Ok so its the term I've misunderstood :)

I have found that guys who say they want cuddling are going to turn out to be a guy that is cheezy and thinks everytime they are board that they are going to play grab and grope; even in public like they are God's gift to the world. Most have the maturity of an eight year old.

Okay, you are right that (a) I am cheezy, (b) I have the maturity of an 8yo, (c) I am god's gift to the world. I agree with you on 3 out of 4, but -

- as far as groping every time I cuddle, no no no, not every time! I often just want to relax, be present, and share an embrace. I mean, it depends on the situation and the woman, sometimes we're both into the groping, sometimes its her more than me or me.

Maybe you just exude so much raw sexual potency that the guys can't help themselves?
