Im going to make a personal post and I Hope it isnt deleted I wasnt going to bother reading this thread because I thought it was going to be a cynical bashing of the concept of miracles Im glad I second guessed myself this time, its an awesome testimony and you certainly do rock sister!! God bless

can you argue your position without refering to scripture I was just gonna share my story and go but............ This is really sad. I sure as heck havent missed anything, not coming to THIS forum. All, MOST (not ALL) of you want to do, is argue about God, instead of singing praises to him, and lifting him up. Do you honestly think, hes liking all the fighting you people are doing here, in his name, instead of praising him? But, I guess THIS FORUM, is for people like you, who enjoy that kind of thing! Do you people do this in church too? I sure hope not! "Forgive them father, for they know not, what they do", or they just really love to argue, in your name. But of course, they do know that God forgives all, so hey, what have they got to lose, huh? Except my respect, and we both know they give a hoot about respect, or they wouldnt be constantly arguing, about the most glorious thing ever, You, God! Actually, to be totally honest, MOST (not All) of you, should be ashamed of your foul conduct, under a section called "Religion Chat". Everyone told me it was like this here, and now I see that they were right. They said, "if you wanna fight, go to the "Religion Forums!!". SAD! I guess you guys are into Holy Wars here, like the rest of the world. Im thrilled, that I dont fit in here! Praise Jesus!

she didnt name names,,,, lol I think a congratulations was in order, regardless of faith. But, often the 'religious' and non make assumptions about the 'others' and it comes across as condescending(I have to work on this as well because it is so subconscious). I think the assumption that she would need advise about what else she should or shouldnt be careful to do,, when she was just sharing something that was joyful in her life,,, it puts a buzz kill on the joy of her moment, ,,the joy she was probably trying to share and not have torn down,,,,or nitpicked Im not in her head to know for sure though, just thinking how I might feel,,,

I'll tell you right now that it comes from the extremely negative and hateful people who use Christianity to spread religious bigotry and hateful ideas in the name of Jesus as "The Christ". If you are obvious to this then you really need to open your eyes. If you think for one second that people should jump onto the band wagon of religious bigotry and hatred of others in the name of Jesus Christ just because you attribute your decision to clean up your act to being "saved" by Jesus, then you are indeed quite naive. There are ways to teach the love that Jesus himself tried to teach. But it's extremely naive to expect people to just suddenly embrace a highly bigoted religious institution just because you quit taking drugs. I'm quite sure that there are a lot of secular people who have managed to break away from bad habits and destructive lifestyles too. This type of behavior is clearly not dependent solely on the intervention of a demigod. That's just the facts.

I just love the way everyone is putting words in my mouth. You got that right! I should of just shared my testimony, and never looked back, but I really did expect it to be met with happiness, and joy, that testimony brings. (And a few people did that, and thats wonderful!) Boy was I wrong!

God is everywhere, all the time, who doesnt know that? This is now becoming a comedy post, thank you!

So what is your path? Coming here and fighting about it? Fighting about it? What's to fight about? Everyone thinks it's great that you have turned your life around! If you yourself are 'fighting' for something MORE than that, then that's your war.

I'm not saying you did personally, but part of the belief system is centered on it. You can't really separate it. If one rejects the Bible for example, you are rejecting God's word and by extension God with it in the eyes of some.
