It is sad when mean and stupid people attempt to bash to lift their own egos. IMHO, this thread is about personal joy, and not a debate thread. Roberta brings and deserves more joy in her life!   And im NOT talkin about me!

Mean people... Arrrrrgh! Don't know exactly who you were calling mean people here. But the only mean people I can see here are the one's bashing Christianity and this woman's new found belief. A woman comes here for the first time, spilling her heart out about the joy she has found. And all these people can do is down her new found joy. Her beliefs harm no one else, why is it so wrong for her to have found great joy in her new findings? Just 2 more, and I can quit explaining the "totally obvious" here! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! Abra, much as I love you, sometimes you do get out of line in your crusade against Christianity. In this case, you are out of line. People who know you and have read your posts know that yours is a war and a crusade against the dogma of Christianity. That is no reason to take your personal battle out on a person who just wanted to share a positive personal experience. I believe in "God" and in miracles. I know you do to. How we interpret these things is very personal. Don't attack the messenger. I guess you're right. I think that if I had never been a Christian I wouldn't have such a vehement hatred for the religion today. I guess I react to it kind of like an x-smoker reacts to cigarette smoke. I hate it precisely because it defiles Jesus. and his hatred for it?  (Im not trying to be rude, but this STIll has nothing to do with my testimony, or my being saved. It is ONCE AGAIN talking about EVRYBODY ELSE AND THE WAY THEY DISRESPECT RELIGION! Its like a broken record, will you PLEASE stop repeating yourself, but just using different words each time? I was just making a statement about how people were bashing this young woman's new found belief. Nothing intended towards you nor was I beating up anyone nor bashing them or anything. Just making a general statement about how these people were talking when this woman was rejoicing in her new findings, she wasn't out to prove God was real, she wasn't out to debate really anything, she was just rejoicing.

I originally said that I think it's great that she turned her life around and feels as though she had been 'saved' from a desperate situation. Now all of a sudden there was no "desperate" situation. And Cowboy comes in blasting away in ALL CAPS!!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE SAVED!!!!!  Saved from what? That's a legitimate question I think. Saved from death. Death is a punishment put on us because of our disobedience. God offers forgiveness for this and offers eternal life once again to us, thus saving us from death.

I'm glad to hear that you have finally found God.  That must have been a quite pleasant surprise indeed.  |

What I like about Luv is that at least she can
LAUGH about the whole matter..... and have a sense of humour about things afterwards...... after she has come thru like a hurricane, that is  She also brings laughter to others.  Let us try to Remember now...... Luv is only a BABE in Christ, not a full grown christian yet.  |

It suspiciously sounds like.... Okay the fish took the bait now its time to reel it in.... Which means to "educate" or "train" the new Christian to suit our particular religious beliefs. I think you are either a Christian, or you aren't. There are a LOT of Christians out there who don't always agree on the details and dogma. A new Christian is vulnerable to being sucked into any number of different Church's particular or peculiar belief systems. Jim Jones anyone? |
