1990.. wow thats a long time ago, i was 22 hmmm married pregnant with my second munchkin, living in the bush, with no worries.. Life was a little fairy tail.

1990 wow my youngest was 3yrs old and i had gone through my divorce a year before and i going through my own issue just like anyone else

Got tongue tied and froze on a TV show called VH1. Went from white to the brightest shade of red according to my friends. Think I made it to their top ten most embarrassing list. If I could have moved I would have crawled out of the room.

I was in college, drinking vodka by the pint. The Berlin Wall was coming down, and the University of Connecticut was in its first NCAA championship tournament, led by Tate George, Nadav Henefeld, Scott Burrell, and Chris Smith. I was discovering the Internet, beyond just BBS's, for the first time. I learned to play guitar, taking lessons for college credit. I skipped nearly every Accelerated Physics class, but attended all the labs. Even so, I got a perfect score on the final exam. I worked in a factory for the first time while on summer break. I did my first radio broadcast that fall. I invited Dan Quayle to come on air with us since he was in our listening range. For the first time, I grabbed a woman's a$$ at a crowded party, just to see if she noticed who did it. I had dinner with Dan Lauria from The Wonder Years. I had grown my first full beard. When I shaved it off, rather than saying they liked it, women asked me why I shaved it, which only served to confuse me about women and beards. By the end of the year, the Persian Gulf War and Operation: Desert Storm were beginning to look imminent, as tensions mounted following Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in August. I considered joining Army ROTC. We didn't know that the LA Riots were looming on the horizon in another year or two.

I actually had to look up the Rodney King trial....I thought the riots happened before 1992. I could have sworn they happened during the Fall of my sophomore year, but memory failed me. Now if only I could forget the guy that used to walk around campus in a teddy and fishnets... Some things are just such a shock that they are forever etched into memory.
