I actually had to look up the Rodney King trial....I thought the riots happened before 1992. I could have sworn they happened during the Fall of my sophomore year, but memory failed me. Now if only I could forget the guy that used to walk around campus in a teddy and fishnets... Some things are just such a shock that they are forever etched into memory.  That was manO wasn't it? |

ah... 1990
I remember it well... my first step towards chaos  single... party'n hard... party'n often applied to a newspaper ad for a manager of a bar, and was called in for an interview at... A strip club!!!  Got the job, went on to be the General Manager of two clubs... doing the bookkeeping, payroll, hiring, firing, training staff and drinking lots of coffee. But before anyone says "how did you get a dream job like that"... *You* try dealing with 50 girls that each think they are the hottest things alive, but are ALL on PMS at the same time!!!

I used to sell girls like that costumes....poor you! yes, thank you... It *was* one of the *harder* times in my life

1990.. wow thats a long time ago, i was 22 hmmm married pregnant with my second munchkin, living in the bush, with no worries.. Life was a little fairy tail.  awwww I love fairy tales  . I was between babies and in the hospital with a tubal pregnancy  . |

Hm in 1990i attended my first computer course. I had to insert the system disk that loaded ms dos into memory.

Ha ha. So was I! I had a Tandy 1000 as my home computer, and in the college labs, I was using Apple's Mac II or a Mac SE, depending on what kind of computing power I needed. That was the year those two models were discontinued too.
By 1993, I had a 486DX 66 Mhz with top-end graphics, 8 MB RAM, and a 4x CD-ROM (which I upgraded myself). It was a big improvement over the Tandy 1000. |
